11- CONFESSION

I wait for him to arrive. Finally he arrives. "I made it and I brang donuts, do you even like donuts? Anyways I brought some to get us through this." He puts the box of donuts down in front of me on the table. I give him a cold stare.

"Matteo I can't keep up with this anymore. When I spoke to Theo last night he told me about what you said about me a few weeks ago." His face drops. "I don't understand you or us! We're good and then you flip and we ignore each other for weeks and then all of a sudden your bringing me donuts like we're besties!" He sits down opposite me. "Why do you hate me so much and don't lie I know you hate me."

He stares at me for a few seconds then looks away. "I don't hate you and I didn't mean what I said to Theo. I was just mad you were giving him so much attention, I was jealous and hoped it would make him back off." Jealous? "The reason I ignore you was because I didn't want to get close to you and I don't want you to get hurt by my father because I fell for you. I caught feelings for you." He looks away but continues, "I didn't want to like you because I didn't want my father to know and use you as a threat to me or hurt you. Every time I was nice and we bonded made me like you more and I just pushed myself away again." He looks back at me. "That's why Y/n, I really like you, it's why I kissed you a few weeks ago and why I got jealous."

"Well thank you for telling me the truth. And I don't hate you ether I just did when you were being a dick." He laughs, "I am a dick." "Maybe, just a little." I laugh, "And I actually like you too. I didn't relise at first but I do." He smiles and I smile with him slightly blushing. "So we're good now, no more mood swings or fights?" I put my pinky finger out towards him. "Yes we're good."

He pushes the donuts towards me and I grab out a chocolate one with pink sprinkles. "Oh and by the way." I hold up the book I was reading, "I found the spell." I casually say. He looks at me shocked and then excited. "No way? Really!" I nod my head and give him the book. He reads the page I open up to.

"I 99% sure it'll work. So let's go check it out." I finish my donut and get up. "Y/n your a genius!" He hugs me, his big arms wrap around my small body. I wrap my arms around him. "Come on, let's get this shit over with." I grab his hand and he follows me.

The room of requirements smells of dust. We find the cabinet. I re read the spell over in my head and then cast the spell, pointing my wand at the cabinet. Matteo opens the door. It worked! "Let's be sure it worked." He says offering his hand to mine. "Are you sure?" "Its ok your safe with me." I grab his hand and we step through the cabinet. We come out the other Cabinet in the old dusty shop.

Its so dark, no one is here but us. "Ok this place is creepy let's get back. "Wait I've always wanted one of these." Matteo holds up an gum ball machine filled with gum balls. "No your not stealing." I put the gum ball machine back and grab his hand. Laughing with him and rolling my eyes.

We arrive back in the room of requirements. His hand still in mine. He takes me to an old dusty couch and I sit with him. "Look if we both like each other let's you know." "Date?" I question him. "Yes let's date." He grabs my hand. "Okay but let's take it slow firstly, no one can know." I say looking up at him. "Okay and you should know I've never really been in a proper relationship." He says holding out his pink finger. I take his pinky finger in mine. "Pink promise." We both say together.
