"who am I?"

"So Takeda finally roped you in huh?" Seikuu eyed the blond haired Ukai in the gymnasium. Somehow the modern literature teacher managed to convince the man to at least help them train, only until the practice match with Nekoma. Which was at the end of the training camp supposedly from what she knew.

"Yeah, he just had to mention Nekoma." The man grumbled, as they talked, they watched as the Boy's Vbc and Ukai's friends played volleyball, it was so Ukai could assess the members. Asahi, Sugawara and Nishinoya were playing with his friends, while the other side were the current regulars of the club such as Daichi, Tanaka, Ennoshita, Tsukishima, Hinata and Kageyama. The first set ended, so now they were wiping off their sweat and drinking water.

Seikuu hummed "then I guess I don't need to stick around the club since you guys have a coach now.." she muttered not necessarily sad or happy at the prospect. Her eyes seemed dazed, the young girl getting lost in her thoughts.

"E-eh?" Takeda stared at her in shock having overheard her "You can't just leave us!" "Huh? Who's leaving?" Hinata turned to them in shock. "I'm just saying, surely Ukai will become your permanent head coach, he has the skills to analyze you guys and he has more technical experience with volleyball, he has more value between the two of us." Seikuu explained jabbing her finger towards the man.

Ukai's jaw dropped "you're comparing our values? me and you? You're worth more than me collectively!" he argued. She glared at him, punching him playfully "We're talking about volleyball here old man!"

The older male ruffled his hair, "What brought it up though?" Takeda asked with a frown. She couldn't help but look away awkwardly, ever since he read her letter well she had avoided him, to the point where they silently agreed to never mention it.

"Oh is it because you're always busy?" Yamaguchi asked good-naturedly. He had noticed how sluggish she seemed during classes, and how she was always being called out by the other sports club for assistance, it actually extended even out of sports. Academics clubs also followed her up on questions and competitions but he didn't know why, was it because she had already technically graduated college?

"Oh.." The volleyball boys winced, they kinda realized that Karasu was a really busy person in all honesty, they never see her relaxing at school much.

"Plus you're stuck with a cane these days, getting old there?" Tsukishima said with a smirk though he seemed to be genuinely glancing at her cane.

She scowled at their questions "You don't need to know about my cane." She sighed, hoping not to snap. "But I am kinda curious.." Hinata mumbled "You don't seem to need a cane, considering you're super strong and athletic!"

Kageyama who was beside the boy nodded in agreement. Karasu blinked feeling all eyes glance at her, with a sigh she gave a response that hoped to quell their curiosity and make them feel bad for answering, "My family has this long running illness, most of my ancestors were born with weak bodies that made them confined to a wheelchair or to a bed. When I was young my legs were weak as well, it was only thanks to medication and therapy that I can walk right now."

"o-oh.." they looked away, feeling guilty for prying and perhaps pity for her circumstances. The black haired girl's face turned stone cold however as she became silent. . 'Hopefully this would make them feel awkward from asking anymore questions. . what a headache.'

She turned to Ukai who had nudged her with a look, sighing she rubbed the back of her head "More importantly, since Ukai's here, he'll be leading practices up till the match with Nekoma, so make sure to listen to him and not give him a hard time. Ok?"
