Chapter 16

Katsen has been ignoring my calls and messages. There was no way to reach her. I don't want to create any drama because her restaurant is officially open today.

I need to go back to London tomorrow morning as I have to attend a very important meeting. But, I can not leave without seeing Katsen. I need to tell her the truth about my feelings for her. She needs to know the truth. That brought me to only one option which was, Kidnap.

It was an easy task for my men to kidnap her. Here she is in front of me panicking, begging for her life. I picked her up bridal style and I walked into my mansion climbing the stairs to my room. However, she was screaming and begging for help. But, it only amused me more.

I dropped her down once I got into my room.

"Please, don't hurt me. Whoever you are. I beg of you".  She kept begging.

I walked very close to her. I wanted to know if she could figure it out. I guess I was right.

"I can smell you. I think I am familiar with your smell. But, I don't want to make any assumptions. Please, let me go".   She guessed.

I untied her hands and also her shanks. I also freed her sealed mouth and I removed the blindfold. Then she opened her eyes and was surprised to see me.

"Hi, Kat".  I smirked.

She was angry. Very angry. At first, she looked surprised. But after she understood the situation. She decided to sit down on the sofa. Her hands supported her head and her elbow rested on her lap while trying to find her words.

If looks can kill. I bet I would be gone right now.

Someone knocked at the door. I walked towards the for to open it.  Her bag was passed to me by Simon without saying a word. I took it from him and I nodded in appreciation and I closed the door behind me.

I dropped her bag on the side table beside the sofa where she sat.  "Why".  She whispered. Or should I say she lost her voice probably because of shock? Well, I am not sure.

"Well, I had no choice".  I said while I sat down on another sofa opposite where she sat.

"We need to talk". I started

"I don't have anything to say to you. I just want to go home".  Her voice hoarse

"You don't have to say anything. I just need you to listen to me".  I tried as much as I could to sound convincing. And it worked.

"Ok". That is all she said.

"I will go to the point without boring you much"   I sigh. Grey and I were very good friends when in college. I had a girlfriend then. We were so in love with each other. Or, so I thought. Suddenly, she started avoiding me. It happened so many times. But one day. There was a born fire party I thought I could not attend because I had to travel to see my sick mother. I got a call from before boarding the plane telling me not to bother coming as she was feeling better and stronger. I was happy. Because I got the opportunity to attend the Born Fire party with my girl. I decided to make it a surprise.

When I got there. I noticed some of our friends were shocked to see me. I asked them if something happened. But, they said nothing. Just that they weren't expecting me as they thought I was on my way home. I looked for Grey. But he was nowhere to be found. So, shrugged it off walking far away to light my cigarette. Even my girlfriend doesn't know I smoke.

A funny sound got my attention behind a big stone on the beach. I was so curious to know what the sound was all about, I walked towards the stone and the sight broke my heart. I saw my best friend having sex with my girlfriend."

"So, was that the reason you approached me? To get back at him?". She asked

"No". I replied.

After a minute of silence. I continue.  "Grey and I have been sleeping with each other girlfriends ever since we graduated out of school till recently before I met you".  I stood up from where I sat and I walked to her.

I took her hands and pulled her up so we were both standing. I wanted her to see my sincerity when I told her how I felt about her.

"Katsen. When I first saw you. I never knew you were with Grey. That is the truth. And, when I found out you were together. I was sad. I wanted to let you go. But, I was already in love with you".  I held her hands in mine and I locked eyes with her.  "You are not one of our game Katsen. The truth is".   I shot my eyes for a second and opened after.

"I LOVE YOU KATSEN".  I seal my lips on hers. She gasped. I kissed her with everything I'd got. This is the only way I can show her how much she means to me.

She enveloped my neck with her slender arms standing on her toes. I picked her up, she wrapped her legs around my waist. Without breaking eye contact. I deepened the kiss and we were so lost in our world that I couldn't hear my phone ringing.

A knock on my door interrupted our heated moment. She pulled away from me and I kissed the top of her head before checking who was at the door.

I opened the door to snap at who dared to interrupt me. Ezekiel, my bodyguard handed my official phone to me.  "The call is urgent sir". I took the phone from him and listened to the caller who was my assistant.  "Yes Zion, speak to me".

"Michael, get your ass here right now. We have a big problem". He said

"What is the problem?". I asked

"Your psycho of a father is burning your properties. You need to get here fast. He has gone crazy". He informed.

"Ok. Thanks. I will be on my way now. But, but don't piss him off. I don't want him to start putting a bullet in people's heads". I ended the call and gave Ezekiel back the phone.

Why is this happening all of a sudden? I had planned to be with Katsen tonight. But I know too well that the only person that can stop my father from that madness is me.

I looked at her standing waiting for me to say something.

"What is wrong? You don't look happy after that call. Is everything alright?". She is concerned about me.

I pulled her to my chest. And put a kiss on her head inhaling the fragrance of her hair.  " I am sorry, I have to go Katsen" I whispered against her head

She pulled away from me and looked at me with worried eyes. "Why is that?". She Curiosly asked

"I just got a call that requires me to be in London immediately. But nothing to worry yourself about. I will call you as soon the issue there is resolved". I peck her cheeks

I grabbed my phone and I led her outside.  "My driver will drop you at home. Take care of yourself and see you soon". I kissed her again before opening the door for her. And I faced the driver. "Make sure to take her home safely. And call me once she gets home".  I instructed him and he responded with a now.

I entered another car that would take me to the private airport where my Jet is.

My father was in the Mafia. He wanted me to succeed him. My mother wanted a better life for me. So she ran away with me and trained me the way she wanted. Here I am today. Successful in what I do without his help.

Ever since I allowed him back into my life. He has been bothering me to marry his Mafia friend's daughter which I declined. I never wanted anything to do with their Mafia world.

Being who he is. He has been messing with me. And everything I own just to get me into marrying the girl he has chosen for me.

But enough of all his nonsense. It is time to settle this with him.
