Chapter 19

Grey

I opened it and what I saw shocked me.

"Oh my God". I screamed.

"What are these pictures for? I stood up and asked.

"My Father put a bounty on her head if I refused to marry the girl he chose for me. I can't risk her life, Grey. So, I have to break my promise to her"

"I will kill him. He better stay the hell out of my girl's way. And you". I pointed a finger at him. "Stay away from her. Now, I am not begging you. But I am warning you. Stay away from her. You and that psycho of your father ". I warned.

"Sit down Grey. You don't scare me a bit. As for my father. I am going to kill him myself. That I must do to protect Katsen. As for me". He sighed. "I am letting her go only if you promise me you will take care of her. And also, protect her"

"She is mine. She has always been mine until you came in between us. Michael, I love her. And I will protect her. You go and handle your lunatic of a father and let me take care of my girl". I concluded.

I was in my Jet flying back to Manchester. I had to cancel all my meetings for two weeks to be with Katsen. I have to protect her at all costs. I brought her into this mess. She is my weakness and she is Michael's weakness even though I hate to admit it.

It is very dangerous to leave her to herself.

I had arranged for bodyguards and they were already stationed at her place without her knowing.

I will do anything for her safety.

The pilot announced our landing brought me out of my reverie and I buckled up my seat belt preparing myself for the landing.

We safely landed and I got out. My driver was already waiting for me. Ted and Josh were together with me. Even though they are my personal bodyguards. They are also more of a friend to me.

"Where to sir" My driver asked.

"Take me to Katsen's restaurant". I replied.

The drive there took longer than it should have as there was serious traffic on the way.

The car came to a halt at the parking lot of the restaurant. I came out of the car and walked right inside the restaurant. Josh and Ted Stayed outside with the bodyguards I got her.

A lady met me to tell me that they were fully booked. I ignored her and walked to Katsen's office even though she tried to stop me. Which she failed.

I closed the door behind me as I walked into her office. And there she is. My woman. Oh. How I've missed her so much.

"What are you doing here?" She stood up from her chair looking at me shocked

Why is she shocked to see me? I am here for her. I hope she knows that.

"That is no way to welcome your husband to be". I smirked and she looked at me as if I had grown two heads.

I walked closer and she continued "Grey. Please, ". She looked down at her phone which beeps

She grabbed the phone from the table and went through her messages. I watched as she reacted after reading the message. It was bad. And painful to see her like this. But, she was quick to cover it up by facing me.

"Grey, please I am not in the mood to talk to you. I need you to leave". It came as a whisper. Like she was weak.

I walked right to her and I pulled her up for a hug. My lips grazed her earlobe gently as I whispered to her. "I am here to take you with me. We have a lot to catch up on"

She stiffened and tried to push me away from her. But my grip on her was very tight and I watched as she rested her head on my chest sobbing. I know she must have received a message from Michael. A message I am not surprised will break her. I am supposed to be mad at her. But I won't. I just want my girl back

I know I have been a jack to her. I know I wasn't there for her when she needed me. But I am going to make up for everything I made her pass through.

She had always been my priority. Hence the reason I bought a mansion here in Manchester. It was all for her.

"Cry as much as you want. I am here for you. I am not going anywhere Kat. Do you know why? Because you are mine. You belong to me". She raised her head to look at me confused.

My hands frame her face and my thumb wipes her tears away. "What are you talking about?". She quietly asked

"I need you to come with me now. There is something I need to share with you. After that if you still don't want me. I will gladly let you go Kat". I promised.

She was still contemplating what to do. For me, I knew that there was no way I would let Katsen go free. I am here to protect and finally Claim her.

She has been mine ever since I set my eyes on her. And now. There is no going back on it. Nothing is stopping me from taking what rightfully belongs to me.

"Grey" Her sweet voice brought me out of my daydreaming. "What are you up to? I don't have the strength for any drama. Maybe we should do this tomorrow". She suggested while sitting on her chair and looking at me with an unknown emotion

No, I refuse to leave her like this.

"I promise you I am not going to make things any harder for you. Trust me. You need to come with me. And now". I insisted. Sitting briefly on her desk playing with her palm.

She looked at me trying to figure out what I was up to and once she was convinced that I meant well.
"Ok. Just give me five minutes to round up on things. Then we can go". She turned to her Laptop and I got up and went back to sit across from her.

"Take all the time you need Kat. I will be here waiting for you". I watched as she typed on her Laptop and she looked cute. That's my beautiful brown skin girl.
