Everyone has a dream to fly. Mine just came in a different way.

"BUT MOM"

"Don't 'But Mom' me. You are going to do it. Or at least try. You can't just sit around the house all day and do nothing, you will learn to roller skate whether you like it or not." Mom said before heading into the living room.

"But Mom, I don't want to learn how to roller skate. I might fall, or... or even..." I said while following after her. I seemed to be at a loss of words. I can't BELIEVE she's making me do this!! " Cut myself. Yeah, thats it. I could fall and cut myself, and that would NOT be pretty." I warned. Mom hated the sight of blood. Even when she was the one bleeding, she would faint, leaving me or one of my older sisters, Christy and Jessica, to clean the wound.

She cringed. " I'm not going to argue with you. You will learn to roller skate, and that's final." My mom said before walking in the kitchen.

I groaned. I give up. Once my mom puts her mind to it, she was as stubborn as a dog with a bone. I stomped on my way upstairs to my room. I can't believe her!! I thought.
