9. Moving On Up! Part 1

That weekend came along and directly after her morning practice, Esumi disappeared somewhere. People began to pile into the dining hall for breakfast, but Kuramochi, Masuko, and Miyuki all glanced at each other. They remembered Esumi asking them about who bought their food. She even mentioned about doing something this weekend. Though she never mentioned what. The rest of the regulars took place around them. Eijun appeared moments later, looking a bit confused.

"Has anyone seen Esu?" He questioned. Yuki and Jun looked around for the familiar long brown hair. When they didn't see the girl, worry automatically set in.

"Hey Sawamura, earlier this week Esumi-chan asked who bought the food for us..what was that for?" Miyuki asked, thinking back to the night when the four of them cleaned the dining hall. Eijun's eyes seemed to brighten a bit. A grin formed upon his face knowingly.

"Oh, she finally asked? Okay. I know where she went." Eijun smirked happily, taking a seat next to the catcher. The third years and two second years watched the idiotic male weirdly. "Oh, and you see when she comes back." He smirked, continuing to eat his breakfast.

"What the hell does that mean?" Jun asked, irritated by the lack of information about the girl.

"Ryosuke..Haruichi's gone too." Yuki mentioned. Ryosuke looked around for the smaller pinkette, but didn't see him.

"Esu probably dragged Haruichi along with her." Eijun cut in, leaving another round of questions swirling through the upperclassmen's heads.

A couple hours later, the team still had some free time before afternoon practice began. There was still no sign of the younger Kominato, nor the younger Sawamura. The regulars, including Furuya and Eijun, were all hanging out in Miyuki's dorm. He didn't have a roommate, so it really didn't matter.

Eijun's phone went off, making Kuramochi jump for it. Eijun luckily evaded and escaped outside the dorm. He flipped open his phone to answer the incoming call. "Hello?" He asked without checking the caller id.

"Ei-nii!" Esumi's voice flowed from the other side. Her breathing was uneven and a bit strained. "Can you and a couple of the senpai come to help Haru-kun and I? We're at the front gates. Hurry!" Esumi ordered and hung up. Eijun sighed, but thought of the outcome. He grinned eagerly, opening the door back to Miyuki's room.

"Can a few come with me to help Esumi with bags?" Eijun poked his head inside the room. Everyone looked at the Sawamura in confusion. Before anyone can ask, Eijun cut them off. "She said hurry!" So in the end, everyone followed Eijun to the front gates. Standing there, surrounded by a mass of grocery bags, were the two missing first years.

"Where did you two go?" Yuki questioned, eyeing the bags.

"The store." Esumi answered simply, looking at her friends.

"You two carried all these back here, by yourselves?" Kuramochi asked, looking through them. Esumi lightly smacked the second year on the head. She pouted.

"No peeking." She ordered. "Help us bring this back to the dining hall." Esumi motioned. Her hands, as well as Haruichi's, were red from carrying the many bags for an extensive period of time. Each one of the males took a bag or two and carried it to where Esumi needed it be.

"Oh? Is Esumi-chan going to cook us something?" Ryosuke questioned in wonder. That got the attention of the males. They turned eagerly to the small girl. Esumi giggled joyously, but shook her head in denial.
