The crash is based off of an episode from this 9-1-1 show where a mom was a drunk driver and she caused a multiple car pile up. I saw it on tiktok lol don't ask me season or episode I don't know the answer to that.

Kevin's driving himself over to Devy's house... excited to talk to Devy. Ready to tell him that he'd like to remain in a relationship with the older... but I guess the universe had a different idea for today. Is that a car driving the wrong way on the highway..? Oh my god what's it doing?

CRASH

Everything is dark. He can't move... Kevin's vision is blurry and he's drifting in and out of consciousness. This is it... this is the end for Kevin...

*ring ring* Devy picks up his phone and sees an unfamiliar number. He debates not answering it but he does anyways. 
"Hello?"
"Hello is this Devin?" a female speaks ...Devy's confused the only person that really calls him Devin he wants nothing to do with rn.
"This is.. who is this?"
"LA general hospital. Kevin was in a car accident." Devy feels like his world was just shattered. 
"L-LA general you said..?
"Yes sir"
"I-I'll be there soon... thank you..." He says as he hangs up.
"I'll be back eventually Kyle..."
"alr!" Devy puts on his sandals and grabs his phone and keys. While walking to his car he calls Chase.
"Hello?"
"Chase Wisam with you?"
"Yeah what's up?" 
"You two need to get to LA general... Kevin was in a car accident.." 
"We're on our way. Where are you?"
"Getting in my car."
"No. Get out and wait outside we'll pick you up. you're not driving rn."
"okay.." Chase hangs up on Devy and 8 minutes later he sees Wisam's car pulling in. Devy hops into the backseat and buckles unable to speak. None of them can speak... there's no words for how they're feeling.. 15 minutes after picking up Devy the trio arrive at the hospital. Devy walks in the younger 2 right behind him "Looking for news on Kevin" he says to a lady behind the desk
"You must be Devin?"
"Yes"
"I just need to ask all of your relationships to Kevin."
"We're his friends. He has no family around here that would be here for him." The lady behind the desk sighs and says
"Okay I'll tell them you're family." She picks up the phone next to her and tells someone that the family of Kevin is there and would like to go back to be closer to him. She hangs up and a few minutes later a nurse walks into the waiting room "Family of Kevin?" The trio stand up and walk towards her.
"That's us" Chase says. The nurse nods and leads them back to a small hallways outside of an operating room. 
"Kevin is in surgery right now. As far as we know right now he has a concussion and there's internal bleeding" She tells the boys. 
"We will update you when we have proper information"
"Thank you.." Chase says. Chase grabs Devy's hand silently trying to ground him. He knows Devy's freaking out internally... Chase reaches into his pocket and plops Mushroom in Devy's lap. The older man looks down at Mushroom then at Chase as if silently thanking him before curling himself into a ball holding Mushroom close. Once Chase decides Devy is okay enough to be left alone he moves over to Wisam. The youngest boy seems to not even be in this galaxy he's so out of it... so far from being grounded... Chase walks closer and links their hands together rubbing small circles into the back of the younger's hand.
"Come back to me Wisam... I'm here... I've got you..." Chase says quietly, quickly glancing over at Devy still holding Mushroom close. 
"What is he doesn't make it..." Wisam whispers.
"Don't think like that babe.. Kevin's strong. You really think he's going to leave us?" Chase makes Wisam turn towards him and that's when he sees just how empty the younger boys eyes are.. Chase just holds Wisam close praying that they get news about Kevin sooner rather than later...

4 hours... Kevin was in surgery for 4 very long hours. A while later a doctor comes up to the 3.
"Are you the family of Kevin?" 
"Yes we are" Chase answers
"He's alive"
"thank god" Devy sighs out. 
"I can bring all 3 of you into his room if you'd like?"
"Yes please" Chase replies quickly, the doctor nods and walks the trio to a room letting the 3 boys in to see their loved one. When they enter they're met with Kevin hooked up to some machines, an IV. There's a bandage over his head. 
"Our poor baby..." Devy says quietly walking to the side of Kevin with all the machines.
