Is It Really You?

Chapter 2

They were both excited for their little weekend trip away. Kerem got a surprise from his parents the day before they left. They took him to a rental car place and said he would have his own car for the weekend and then if he still wants to keep it after he can until they leave. Since kerem said he wasn't coming over tonight, Hande went out with her parents to do some shopping. She had a lot of clothes but every year around this time they go shopping anyway to see if they like anything for the holidays.

“I'm going to istanbul to shopping with my parents now, they said that it would be nice for me especially since it was almost summer”

“Alright, take care of yourself. If it's not too late when we both get home from where we are, I'll come over else I'll just come a bit earlier in the morning and we can walk to school together.”

They occasionally walked to school together, but they mostly didn't since both their parents worked. They just dropped them off on the way unless they had to leave earlier or later on some days. They did end up walking the next morning because Hande got home later than she thought she would and just fell asleep as soon as she did. What she didn't know was that kerem was going to ask her to be his girlfriend during this trip. They gave hints to each other here and there about it but never really admitted it because they still had a whole life ahead when they can do those things (that was before he found out he's leaving)

“So yesterday my parents actually surprised me by taking me to get a rental car for the weekend and if we really liked it they said they will extend it until i leave. They said they planned it since we asked to go, but didnt wanna tell me ahead of time else i'll keep asking about it”

“That's so nice of them, now we can go and come whenever we want this weekend without having to borrow one of their cars.”

“Yes, yes, so after school today I'll wait for you and we can walk back again together and if it's too hot I'll just uber us home. My parents are working late tonight so they cant come”

“Mine too so that would be good. When we get home we can just grab our stuff and be on the way. I told my parents to tell yours that as soon as we get home we're gonna leave. Even though i didn't know how we would if their all gone but it's alright”

They went home, quickly showered and changed before grabbing everything and leaving. When he came to pick her up they first spoke for a bit before actually leaving. He gave her information about where they're headed and a general idea of what they were going to do.

“I wanted to go to Bodrum at first, but when I saw the distance I decided not to. We will go there during the holidays either with the family or just us doesn't matter to me”

“I've always wanted to go there but whenever i spoke about it, it always sounded so far away so we never ended up going. I remember my parents went once or twice before but it was before we were born”

“Don't worry I will take you, I just gotta work out when it will be. It's an 8 and a half drive up and then the same back again. Maybe that's why we never went, we would get bored on the way.”

“Oh really,  I didn't know. So where are we going today?”

“Today were driving to Antalya for the weekend since its 4 hours away it's not as far and we will still be able to spend the whole sunday there with enough time to be home and in bed at a reasonable time”

“Ooo that sounds so amazing, lets go and we can stop on the way to get something to eat maybe a little over half way through”

“Sounds good, come on let's go”
