7. Gray & the others learn why the dragon slayers are acting strange

Narrator POV

While Juvia and Lyon enjoy their time together and Juvia is preparing herself for the mating season, Gray and the other wizards at Fairytail are about to find out why their dragon slayer friends have been acting strange.

Gray POV

It's a bright and sunny Friday morning. I get out of bed and get myself ready for the day. Once everything is all settled, I leave my place and head out to the guild.

As I'm walking, I see Lucy walking to the guild along the river wall so I decide to join her. I walk up to her quickly, however, she runs away the second I get very close to her. I chase after her because I really want to say hi (and I might want a hug from her too but nobody needs to know that).

I finally catch up to her and catch her. I wrap my arms around her waist from behind. I can feel her tense up a bit but then she relaxes and leans more into my touch.

Lucy POV

While I was walking to the guild, I notice Gray trying to join me. I know I should let him, but I don't want to do anything to him when he doesn't know why I'm acting strange. I start to run away so I don't do anything foolish; however, Gray runs after me and catches me. When he wraps his arms around me from behind, I tense up because my mind is going a mile a minute with saying 'mate' 'must have mate!' 'mate is mine!' and trying to control my actions is hard to do. I try to just focus on being in Gray's arms and it calms my mind down where I lean into his embrace.

"Luccyyy, why do you keep running away from me?" Gray asks in a sad tone with a pout on his face.

"I'm sorry Gray! It's a lot to explain but I promise you'll get your answers soon. Mira is going to explain to you and some others about what's been happening this past week," I explain. Gray leans his head down into my neck, snuggles more into me and whispers "fineee" into my ear.

I feel shivers up my whole back after he did that. 'The things this man does to me will drive me to the breaking point one of these days.'

"I need to go now, Gray. You can walk with me if you want but please don't touch me for now. I don't want to do something that you're not ready for yet," I say. I reluctantly let go of his embrace and start waking again. Gray grumbles but agrees with me anyway.

"Fine, fine. However please refrain from hanging around that flame-brain for now. I can't stand when he gets near you and I don't know why since I know you both are just friends," Gray grumbles and crosses his arms.

"Okay I'll try but I can't promise that I won't talk to him though," I smirk since I know that Gray is totally jealous over Natsu.

Gray POV

"Can I have your attention please?" Mira calls out from the stage area. "I need Lisanna, Levy, and Gray to come upstairs to Gramps' office to discuss something important. Thanks." Mira hops off the stage and walks up the stairs to Gramps' office. The girls and I follow and head up as well.
