Blush here and there. A little bit more of brown lipstick, her current favorite. The exact quantity, as much as she needed to look perfect without looking exaggerated. The eyebrows... she had always had tiny eyebrows, so a bit of liner would work to make them fuller. Yeah, that is it! Frida smiled proudly at the woman flying in excitement in the mirror. Tonight was important so she was doing her best to look more gorgeous than usual. Tonight was that night, the one Benny had been planing carefully during the last week. They were going to have a date. A date!

The army of butterflies in her stomach was a constant feeling today. She needed to calm down or someone would notice her unusual thrill, but for someone as in love as her it was difficult to hide the endless and constant waves of emotion. The shimmer in her eyes could light up the darkness places on earth, and that permanent smile sure would bring wrinkles to her face. Utterly in love. Madly in love.

Frida sighed and adjusted her beige silk robe before leaving the bathroom, it was almost seven night and she still hadn't picked a dress. She found plenty on her closet, but for some reason she didn't like them as much as they used to, so she went shopping. New stage, new clothes, she smartly thought. A dark blue dress was lying in bed next to a white one, both at mid-thigh weight, with deep necklines, specially the blue one, she knew she would end up picking that one.

The cellphone, charging on the nightstand, rang at the arrival of a message. Frida knew it could be only one person, so she gladly went to check. Her heartbeats became quick in seconds.

6:51 pm Benny: Counting down the minutes to see you.

The death of her. She melted instantly. Frida typed an answer quickly.

6:52 pm Frida: Can't wait😘

The door slammed open and Frida turned around frightened, she just had time to block and drop the phone in the big bed. She wasn't expecting anyone, much less without knocking on the door, and much less Henry. Her cheeks turned red as her blood went hot, she became insanely nervous in no time.

"Hey," Henry, standing in the door frame, tilted his head. He was dressed in a grey suit which matched his eyes, anyone would say he was ready for a night out, to one of the endless events he had.

"Henry, hi." She hardly found her voice. Unconsciously, Frida wrapped the robe tighter around her. "Is everything alright?"

"Yeah, yeah. Sorry for interrupting this way. May I come in?"

"Sure."

"Smells really good." He said as he walked in.

"Yeah?" She frowned sightly and swallowed hard when he swept his gaze over her body. Was he referring to her or...

"Is that a new perfume?"

Damn it, he was indeed referring to her. "Yes, it is." She'd bought it precisely this morning.

"Smells good." He stood a meter away, he could easily reach her body. "And you look too gorgeous, are you leaving?" Henry gazed at the couple of dresses laying in bed, a questioning look in his eyes.

"I— yes, I am." Frida fought her nerves. One wrong step, just one, and everything would be ruined. "The women from the painting class organized a dinner and I'm joining. I doubted at first but there I go." She giggled. "It's okay, right?"

"Of course, yeah." He half smiled. "I'm having dinner with some friends tonight, too, something casual."

"Another busy night."

He shrugged. "I'm used to. And I need it. It's been hard days, you know."

"I know. You deserve some time to clean your mind." The way his eyes sparkle made her understand he was somehow teasing her.
