Kade fell into a darkness, for a split second. He fell straight down, and he thought he would die. But his body connected to smooth metal, and he started to slide through a winding dark tunnel. His body contorted with curves, down nearly vertical declines, that stopped suddenly with another curve that let him pick up speed. He reached out for the walls, but his touch only told him he was in some sort of smooth metal pipping. The air seemed to be sucking his body through the pipe, like he was inside a straw.

Suddenly he dropped again into a freefall. Then a grid of red lasers came out, and Kade fell right through them. He winced at the sudden thought of pain from the lasers, but at worst they tickled him. Until he realized he felt a strong breeze now. Kade felt down his body, and realized he was now nude. The laser he flew through cut his clothes off.

Still in a freefall, an orange light lit up a bit further down from Kade. Something dark stretched across the tube and quickly Kade fell into it. Something tight and snug now encased his body. It was skin tight to him, and he had trouble trying to pry it off of his body. Whatever was on him now, had zero give to it. His body connected to the slide again, in a smooth transition from freefall.

The slide turned again, and seemed to level out. But Kade had no clue, his bearings had long been lost, and the total amount of time he slid seemed like it lasted close to half an hour. He burst through a plastic strip exit onto a soft pad.

Someone pulled him off the pad, and up to his feet, before Kade could realize where he know was.

"My name is Kit," a man in grease stained overalls said. He had thinning graying hair, and a thick beard with specs of gray. "And that is Token," he pointed a finger at a woman in the same stained overalls. She had short black hair and tan skin. "We are you're Mechanics for your Meka. What ever you need adjusted to your Meka, you tell one of us and we'll get it done," Kit passed Kade to Token.

She grabbed his arm and pulled him along. Kade noticed what was on his arm now. It was a skin tight black outfit. It covered his whole neck, down to his wrists, and over his feet with built in padding for shoes. On a small patch above his left breast, had, 'KADE' stitched onto it.

"That is the Meka Pilot Suit," Token said, taking noticed of Kade looking at it. "It's the official uniform of the Meka Pilot—"

"—Plus it's fire resistant, cold resistant, water resistant, breathable, never too hot or cold with the suit on, and never uncomfortable," Kit said. "We are in the RMRC. Rapid Meka Response Center. This is where we keep and repair the Meka, where Pilots will come in and quickly get inside of their Meka to quickly respond to the Reaper attacks."

"You are in Bay 7, that's where your Meka will be every time you need him," Token said. "And here he is. Samurai."

Token stopped suddenly, halting Kade quickly. Then he looked up. A giant robotic head was facing him, Kade felt his hair on the back of his neck tingle from the sight. He almost wanted to run, but he was being held still by Token and Kit.

A giant humanoid robotic head sat in a large cement bay, marked, 'BAY 7' The head was painted black, besides the eyes. The pupils where bright blue, and seemed to be looking directly at Kade. Token and Kit let go, and Kade moved to the side. The blue pupils followed him, completely fixed on nothing but Kade.

"Samurai is code to your genetics. He only listens to you, and will only activate once you are near," Token said.

"You act like it's actually alive," Kade said, looking at the giant robotic face before him.
