"As you can see, from footage from one of the cameras from the District 5 Meka Team: Nova Team. That the Team Captain and Ace in the Black Meka, Codename Samurai. He runs off from his team, allowing them to escape. He charges into the fire from the Reapers and attacks, drawing all of the ambushing Reapers to him alone. The rest of Nova team arrived safe at the RMRC just moments ago. Except for the newest member, who had fallen in battle. Samurai's situation is Unknown as of now, but it is suspected by everyone that he has died."

"Cut that off," Kaito said. "They don't know squat. They couldn't report on where their heads are. Newsflash! They're up their own asses!"

Kaito was pacing around the locker room. Rise was crying in her locker, Frost was scouring every detail of the footage shot from each Meka. Kaito pacing a path into the metal flooring.

"I don't get it... even if a Meka is destroyed, there would be footage up until then. Samurai's footage is gone from the entire mission," Frost said.

"Who cares Frost!" Kaito said, he swiped the tablet from Frost and tossed it into his locker.

Frost jumped up and grabbed Kaito's pilot suit's collar. He lifted Kaito off his feet and slammed him into Kaito's locker.

"What the hell—"

"Shut up!" Frost interrupted. Kaito blinked. Frost's cool face had turned red, eyes nearly set aflame in anger. "Shut up!" Frost shook Kaito, pure anger and frustration welling up and exploding out of his arms. Without thinking, Frost raised a closed fist, cocked it back and swung.

"Hey knock it off!" Anya came in and pulled Frost away. She pulled him so hard he flew back and landed in his own locker. "What the hell is going on?!"

Kaito sat down in his locker, and wiped the blood from his nose with his sleeve. "Nothing Ma'am."

"It doesn't matter," Anya said. "Listen up, intel suggests that Samurai is still alive."

"What?!" all three of the team members jumped up.

"Surveillance came in, showing Samurai going with the Reapers willingly. Samurai and Kade are now considered to be traitors to Humanity, and a Kill Order has been placed on his head."

The Squid came from the sky and blasted it's horn. The Reapers stopped attacking him in an instant. Kade slashed killing more Reapers surrounding him, now that they weren't attacking. Suddenly he heard a couple thunks to his hull. A sharp zap of an electric current made everything go dark.

Kade was awake, the needle to connect him to Samurai had retracted on it's own. Total Power Failure. A safety protocol when all power has been lost, and letting the Pilot try and get out and survive without the Meka.

Kade got out of his cockpit chair, and slowly moved around the pitch black skull of his Meka for the emergency hatch. He found it, right where the nose would be. Was a small glass box attached to the wall near the floor. Inside was a bright yellow handle.

"Incase of emergency, break glass with hammer. Hammer?" Kade said, realizing that the small metal chain where the hammer would be hanging, had no hammer. He bawled up his fist, and smashed the glass with his hand. Slicing the top of his hand, opening a large gash. With his non hurt hand, he reached for the lever and yanked hard.

But nothing happened.

In the training, when you yank on the lever. A hatch would burst open, using CO2 air, needing no electricity. Allowing the Pilot to climb through the nose and jump out like a booger. Sky wouldn't stop giggling that day.
