Kurt: Bad news. My boss said I can't get the complete weekend off. Sunday yes. Saturday we're short of stuff.
Blaine: How about you come over after work? I don't know when we will next get the chance
Kurt: Sounds good. But I'll only be there around 10 even if I'm able to get the earlier shift
Blaine: 10 sounds fine. Should I cook or do you get something from the diner?
Kurt: Okay I get the early shift. Burger and fries from the diner. You could take care of snacks and drinks
Blaine: On it! I'm so excited for our readathon and not have someone commenting our reading habits
Kurt: Our luck that Seb visits his grandparents. Also the first night we spend together!

Shortly after 10 pm Kurt rings the doorbell to Blaines apartment, dinner in one hand and his overnight bag in his other hand. "Hey sweetie" Blaine greets his boyfriend, followed by a kiss. "Hey honey" Kurt answers. He comes in and puts down his stuff.

"Do you mind if I take a shower? I smell like diner and I hate it" he asks and Blaine nods "Towels are in the cupboard behind the door. My stuff is on the right side of the shower of you need it but I'm sure Sebastian won't mind if you use some of his stuff too". He watches Kurt vanish in the bathroom and uses the time to prepare the drinks, snacks and the dinner on two plates.

The shower did wonders to Kurt. He feels more relaxed after the stress at work. At the same time more awake. And now he even smells a bit like Blaine. Way better than the diner smell.

Only when Kurt reaches for his bag to change he realizes that he forgot to pack a shirt. He was in a hurry because he had to catch his subway. But Blaine surely will lend him one. And he might not give it back that fast. Or forget to give it back at all. Maybe he gives it back when it doesn't smell like him anymore and takes a new one that does. Okay now he just sounds obsessed.

"Hey" Kurt clears his throat "I forgot to pack a shirt. Can I borrow one of yours?". He tries to not blush, standing in front of Blaine topless, but he feels his cheeks burning. The other man can't help but look. Up, down, up again. Noticing muscles, his shirtless, beautiful body, beautiful chest, his wet and not styled hair. He's perfect. He's Kurt. Now Blaine is the one to clear his throat "Sure. Pick whatever you like".

With a cuddly long sleeved shirt the chestnut haired man comes back, his bag in his hand "Do you think three books are enough?". The other man nods "If not you can read what I have at home". "You know we have blankets if you're cold?" he adds. The days slowly start to get colder and even if he wears a sweater. "Yeah but I'm okay. It just looked really comfortable" Kurt says.

Together they sit down and start eating while talking about everything and nothing. After that they put on some background music and get comfortable on the couch. The snacks are on the table, same as the drinks and a candle for the vibe. A fluffy comforter is spread over their legs and the books next to them in reach.

"Wait, sweetie, before we start" Blaine says, taking Kurts hand "Earlier when you asked for a shirt I noticed the scar on your chest. What happened? If you want to tell me of course". "Okay. I don't really make a big secret out of it" Kurt answers and for a moment he thinks how to put in words what he wants to say "Half a year ago I was on my way home from my partner in acting class back then. I walked past this alley and saw how someone got bashed. They were calling him names. Homophobic names. My phone was dead but I didn't want to walk past it without trying to help".

"So you went in" Blaine puts the pieces together. The chestnut haired man nods "I did. I got a few punches. And a few more. But I was the perfect distraction for the other guy to be able to call the cops. The guys got caught and the two of us had to go to the hospital. At some point I passed out but I got stitches, something against the pain and by now I'm completely fine again".

"Did you only get that one scar?" the curly haired man asks and Kurt shakes his head "Two more. One on my left side below my armpit and the other one at my neck. Not long after that was actually the day we met. About a month or so after I got out of the hospital". "I'm so happy that I met you" Blaine whispers, tears collecting in his eyes "You're so perfect".

"You're perfect too honey. Please don't cry or I start to cry to0" Kurt says, squeezing his boyfriends hand. "It's just- You saw someone who needed help and you didn't look away. It's-" Blaine stops, pulling up the leg of his pants and revealing a scar on his knee "I wish I had someone when guys like that did the same to me".

"Honey- Blaine, when?" Kurt asks, looking in his boyfriends beautiful but glassy eyes. Blaine takes a deep breath, rolling the fabric down again "When I was 15. After that my parents knew that I was gay because I had to tell them. Yes they hated it but they wanted me to live so they enrolled me at Dalton".

"What happened? If you feel comfortable with telling me" the chestnut haired man asks. Blaine nods "They cornered me, hit me and called me names because I'm gay. They were older, two classes above me, and it was three of them against me. I don't remember much but they got me good. I was in a coma for two days and while everything else healed more or less quickly, my knee needed more than half a year to function more or less normal again. Luckily Dalton gave me the chance to really recover".

A few tears roll down his cheeks and he quickly wipes them away before he feels Kurts arms wrapping around him and pulling him close "I love you Blaine. These guys were idiots because you're perfect no matter who you love". "I love you too Kurt. So much" Blaine answers, the tears rising again but this time not because of old memories but because he opened up to Kurt and Kurt can relate how he feels. Because they share this moment and hold each other. Love each other.

The couple stays like that for a moment. A long moment. In their like bubble. "How about I make us some hot chocolate and we start our readathon? You look like you could use a different world to sink into right now" the chestnut haired man proposes and his boyfriend nods "Hot chocolate sounds good". "Okay. I'll be right back" Kurt says and gets up but leans down again to kiss his boyfriend. "You can start already. I don't need long" he says and goes to the kitchen.

With the snacks, drinks and each others company the couple sinks into the worlds of their books. Blaine was almost done with his so it didn't take long for him to start the next one. Kurt was halfway through his but paused to listen to Blaines review, deciding to add it to his tbr.

Around 4 am both can hardly keep their eyes open anymore. In silent agreement they blow out the candle, turn off the light and go to Blaines bedroom. Almost immediately Blaine curls into Kurts side but the later doesn't seem to mind because he wraps his arms around him and presses a kiss on his curls. "Goodnight sweetie. I love you" Blaine whispers and Kurt answers "I love you too honey. Goodnight".

*****

They sleep until 12 in the noon. Blaine is the first one to wake up, making sure not to wake Kurt as he stands up and leaves quietly. His boyfriend looks adorable when he sleeps but even if Blaine could've looked at him the whole day he wants to surprise him. In the kitchen he prepares coffee and pancakes for breakfast and puts both down in the living room so they can have breakfast while reading or watching tv.

Only then he wakes Kurt up. Softly. With a kiss, tender touches and a "good morning sweetie". "Morning" Kurt mumbles before he pulls Blaine close for a hug and a kiss. "I made breakfast" Blaine announces "But you have to let go of me and get up". "But it's comfortable" Kurt complains like a child. "I made coffee" the curly haired man says and laughs when Kurt lets go of him "Okay you got me".

"So we could continue our readathon during breakfast or watch tv" Blaine says and his boyfriend proposes "How about tv during breakfast, something funny, and read after?". "Sounds like a plan" Blaine nods and both get comfortable on the couch with the comforter thrown over their legs again and Blaine turns on the tv. They end up watching Tom and Jerry because why not.
