Chapter Four

Kurt: I'm done with Evelyn Hugo!
Blaine: Good morning to you too haha
Kurt: Good morning at 12 pm?
Blaine: How long have you been reading?
Kurt: I talked to  Santana and Rachel last night so I was too tired but I'm up since two hours to finish this book
Blaine: Did you enjoy it?
Kurt: I loved it! Three words: Emotional Roller Coaster
Blaine: I told you. Now you know why it's my favorite
Kurt: Should I give your book back?
Blaine: Keep it as a memory. Maybe I get one of your favorites to read?
Kurt: Let me think of one. I can't decide but you'll definitely get one of mine. This week? Library?
Blaine: I have a long day tomorrow so Tuesday? I have study group until 3 but I'm free after
Kurt: Tuesday three pm it is. You want to just read when you come from study group?
Blaine: I think so. Do you need to study?
Kurt: Probably a little but after that I'm free too
Blaine: Awesome! I'll support you studying. Mentally. While reading.
Kurt: Just what I need. That and coffee haha

Kurt smiles at his phone. Tuesday can't come fast enough. He thinks back to his conversation with Rachel and Santana. He told them everything and felt like he was floating. The girls were constantly reminding him that he's head over heels for Blaine. It's true. He is. The date was amazing. Blaines hands are strong and soft. And the kiss. Kisses. Wow. Just wow. The chestnut haired man takes a deep breath.

Kurt: I really enjoyed yesterday. I know I already said that multiple times but I just have to say it again
Blaine: Me too. It was amazing and I think I haven't stopped smiling since yesterday
Kurt: Well I said I still officially ask you but would you like to go on another date with me?
Kurt: Wow that sounded so unpersonal over text. Sorry
Blaine: Don't apologize. As I said before, yes I would like to go on another date with you
Kurt: Great! I plan something and let you know once I have details. I already have an idea.
Blaine: You're not gonna tell me are you?
Kurt: Nope
Blaine: Okay. I can't wait! Now I just took a break from studying but I have to get back to my paper now. I text you later
Kurt: Text you later. Good luck

"Girls" Kurt jumps up from the couch "I asked him out on a second date and he said yes". "You better be boyfriends at the end of the night" Santana says and it sounds like a threat. "I try my best. If everything goes well I will ask him to be my boyfriend" the chestnut haired man answers.

"Now if you would excuse me but I have to get to my books" he adds and rushes back in his room. He'll just study tomorrow and the day after when he's at the library. Today he will try to pick a book he can give to Blaine and try to figure out what he can do with Blaine on their date.

To pick out which book he can give to Blaine he looks through all of them, picking out possibilities and puts them on the bed. IN the end his bed is loaded with books and with a sigh Kurt sits down crossed-legged and surrounded by books.

It takes him a bit more than half an hour to pick one book and twenty to put the others away again, reorganizing them a little. Then he spends a few more minutes to write a note on a post it and put it inside the book. Satisfied he puts the book on the desk so he doesn't forget to pack it tomorrow evening. Now finished with one book he turns around to  his book, picking a new one to read before he does some chores. Once done he doesn't even have time to read anymore because he and the girls have to get ready for work.

"Seb. Seb. Seb!" Blaine calls coming out of his room. "Chill. Give me a second" the other man answers and comes out of the bathroom. "You didn't flush or washed your hands" the curly haired man says with a disgusted expression. "That's because I wasn't on the toilet Blainers. I wanted to shower. Now that has to wait." the other man explains.

Topless and only in sweatpants Sebastian sits down on the couch "So? What's the emergency?". "Kurt asked me on a second date. But we go to the library together on Tuesday. We kissed yesterday. What should I do? Do I greet him with a hug? A kiss? A cheek kiss?" the other man asks panicked. "First of all Blainers" Sebastian says "Calm down. I think you could see where this is going. Maybe wait for him to greet you or just greet him the way that feels right to you in that very moment". He hears his best friend exhale heavily "Thanks. I'm just nervous. I like him a lot". "I know" the other man answers "And now I'm going to shower" and leaves again.

Blaine stays in the living room for a while longer. He thinks back to yesterday. The date. The kiss. He thinks about Tuesday. How he can greet Kurt. They can spend time together. He thinks about a second date. What will Kurt plan? Will they kiss again? Maybe he even ask Kurt to be his boyfriend. That would be truly amazing. Remembering that he still has to study Blaine stands up, goes to the kitchen to get some snacks and a lemonade and then goes back to his room.

Tuesday, two thirty. Blaine couldn't leave study group quick enough. He was impatiently waiting until he can go to the library and sees Kurt again. Actually he was so distracted by the thought of Kurt, his lips and what makes him feel like he didn't get much work done during study group. That's okay too. Kurt has to study a bit anyway so he'll do that too.

When Blaine finally arrives at the library and Kurts usual study table he smiles when he sees the other man already sitting there, deep in whatever subject it is he needs to study for. Quietly Blaine sits down opposite of him. At first he doesn't know if Kurt noticed him but then, without looking up once the chestnut haired man slides a cup of coffee on Blaines side of the table. Then he takes out one of his ear pods and holds it out to Blaine, his study playlist playing.

For a while they just sit there like this, studying and not exchanging a single word. One hour later their coffees are empty and Kurt closes his book with a sigh. Seeing that Blaine is still taking notes he quietly packs his things and puts his phone next to Blaine so he can keep listening to the music without disconnecting the ear pod and the phone due to distance. In Blaines free ear he whispers "I get us some more coffee". As an answer Blaine only nods concentrated but freezes for a moment when Kurt kisses his cheek. Only a second. But for this second he could feel Kurts lips against his skin. Kurts soft lips.

When Kurt comes back the other man packs his stuff away too. "Thanks for the coffee" he says and Kurt apologizes "Sorry for not greeting you earlier. I just wanted to get it done". "It's okay. You were busy and I needed to finish some stuff from my study group anyway" the other man answers "Now. Hi". "Hey" the other man answers and they hug. It's a longer hug than it would last normally but they both enjoy every second of it.

When they part Blaine thinks they would just sit down, talk and read but Kurt breaks the hug, his hands still resting at Blaines back. "I know we still want to go on our second date but I really want to kiss you again" he says. "Me too. How about this. A kiss on the cheek for now and you plan the date as soon as possible so it'll be special when we kiss? The curly haired man proposes. "Deal. I can't wait and I'm almost done. I'll tell you the details soon" Kurt says and kisses the other mans cheek with a smile. Blaine dies the same and whispers "It'll be worth it".

Together they move to a more comfy place to read. "I have to leave at about 6:30. I got my work clothes with me so I change here and don't have to go home again. That way we can spend a little more time together" Kurt tells. "I'm honored" the other man says with a smile. Once they sit, Kurt takes the book be picked out of his bag "I didn't use post it's or markers but it's one of my favorite books. I hope you didn't read it yet". "Red, White and Royal Blue" Blaine smiles "It's still on my list. I wanted to check it out next month or so". "Good. Now you don't have to anymore" the chestnut haired man smiles relieved and Blaine nods "I'll even start reading it now":

Just like that they open the books, Blaine the book Kurt gave him and Kurt the Wreckage of us, and start reading. Blaine quickly falls into the story while Kurt stops from time to time to check the time and looks at Blaine for a second, he can't help himself, before going back to his book.

Only when it's about sic pm Kurt closes his book and says "I go and change quickly". The other man only nods, not able to put the book down. When the chestnut haired man comes back Blaine stopped reading. His eyes widen at the sight of Kurt in his work uniform "Damn. I think I have to visit you at work soon". "I think you would make me work better or distract me but you're welcome to come by any time" Kurt laughs.

They talk a bit more until the time tells Kurt that he has to go. Blaine brings him to the subway and they say goodbye like they said hello. With a hug and a cheek kiss. Soon. Soon they can kiss again. Kurt really misses the touch of Blaines full lips on his and it's no difference the other way around. Lips on cheek is something completely different than lips on lips.

Kurt: Sunday. 1 pm. I pick you up at home
Blaine: Will there be a dress code?
Kurt: Not really. Comfortable but stylish?
Blaine: So bowtie and polo are good?
Kurt: Bowtie and polo are perfect
Blaine: Awesome. I'm done with Red, White and Royal Blue by the way. Do you know they make a movie out of it?
Kurt: Yes. Comes out soon. My roomies and I want to watch it together. You should join us!
Blaine: I'd love to
