Lessy was fighting off these lower-class vampires that were trying to ambush her in the alleyway one night. 'These dumbasses never learned, do they?' She thought as wiped out of what she thought was the last vampire. She turned around just in time to look at the one that was about to jump her from behind when all of a sudden, the vampire was struck by a sword and fell to the ground, burned to ashes.

Lessy drew her weapons away, "I could've gotten that one, Hiei."

"And miss the opportunity to kill one? No thanks," Hiei sheath his sword, and walked up to her. He couldn't help himself. He wants to see her again after the Saint beasts and spends his time with her and Kurama. She has grown more beautiful, just like Kurama said.

Lessy looked up at the sky, heard the thunderstorms rumbling from the distance. This is perfect. This is her chance to convince Hiei that he's loved and safe with her and Kurama.

She looks back at him with a smile, "Do you want to walk home with me, Hiei?"

He raised his eyebrow in suspension,"Why would I want to do that?"

Lessy leaned towards him, "Because I've got two cheesecakes that are waiting for us to eat them."

He turned his face away from her, "I don't know what you're talking about."

'Oh, that's how you wanna play? Okay,' Lessy thought as she's smirked at him,  "Oh really. That's funny because a couple of weeks ago, my cheesecake was gone from my refrigerator. That was my birthday gift from my dad. So today, I went out of my way to buy two cheesecakes for us to eat when we got home. I'm not going to eat them both by myself."

Hiei looked back at her, knowing that she'd caught him red-headed. Damn her. He scooped her up and speed down to her house before the storm caught up with them.

They made it just in time for the rain storm starts to pour in. Lessy grabbed her keys to the door of the house after Hiei put her down.

She unlocks the front door to let themselves in, "Daddy?! You home?!" She then turned to Hiei when she took off her shoes, "You could make yourself at home. I'll get our snacks." She walked up to the kitchen to continue searching for her father when she started seeing a note on the counter. After reading it, she shook her head and opened the refrigerator to bring out the snacks that she promised.

Lessy loves her dad regardless, but it would be nice for him to spend a little more time with his own daughter. Yes, he retired from being a vampire hunter and became a soldier to provide the family with her taking over his mantle, but where did that lead them to? It's almost like the army doesn't really care about the family and the consequences they were going to face. No. She'll have to talk to her father later when he gets back from guard duty. Right now, she has a guest to spend time with.

She went to her room and found Hiei sitting on the window sill, staring at rain pouring down outside. He looked so much calmer than usual, and it warms her heart seeing him like this. She set her plate on her computer desk and handed the second plate to her guest. Hiei hnned at her as he took the plate from her and started eating his slice. Sitting down on her computer chair, she grabbed her own plate to eat her slice and listened to the sound of the thunderstorms rumbling outside. It was scary at first as a child, but she learned to love and appreciate the nature of it.

"Hiei. I think it's about time you and I need to talk," Lessy broke the moment of silence and set her plate back on the desk.

The fire demon looked at her with interest, "What exactly do we need to talk about?"
