Yu yu hakusho: Four Hearts (Kurama X OC X Hiei X OC)

Chapter 10

Lessy and Mina clashed their weapons with Ashe while Kurama and Hiei were training with Kuwabara. They've been at it for 2 months, and the next is crunch time. One day, Ashe decided that they should let the girls train Kuwabara this time.

"Um, guys. I don't think I should do this," Kuwabara said nervously.

Lessy raised her eyebrow. "Hmm? Why not, Kuwabara? You don't want to train with us?"

Kuwabara sweat drops. "Don't get me wrong. You two really are the most badass women I have ever seen, but I can't fight girls. It goes against my honor codes. I'm sorry, but it doesn't make me a man who likes to beat women."

Mina scoffs at him, "Then you're just a straight up pussy."

Lessy and Hiei tried to hold back their laughter, Kuwabara is in shock and Kurama covered his mouth.

"REMINA!!," Ashe scolded his sister.

"No! If you really think that an enemy, who is a woman, mind you, is going to spare your life in the tournament because you couldn't fight back, then you're nothing more than a fucking pussy," Mina shifted from her spot and her naginata is at Kuwabara's throat, "Do you understand now, Kuwabara? Huh? You saw me and Lessy as women, and you underestimated us. And that makes you weak. A female enemy would have no problem with killing you in the tournament. You will not have any other choice when the time comes."

Mina sheathed her naginata and walked away from the group. She sat down on the log by the lake to calm her nerves. She hated nothing more than a weak person who had sympathy for an enemy. There is no sympathy or mercy in her line of life. Death is the only way out for those who had aligned with her mother's killer.

She sensed Hiei's presence before she blocked his attacks with her Serenity.

"Hn. As much I don't like that big oaf, you kinda bruised his pride. But you're right about one thing. There is no other choice in battle."

Mina looks at Hiei in silence.

Hiei took off his cloak and made his fighting stance. "I'll tell you what. Let me make you worth your while. I'll take you."

Mina got up and proceeded to do her own fighting stance. "Then don't hold back. I'm a Brooklyn girl, just like Lessy. I can take it."

The two fighters charged at each other and clashed their weapons once more. They have matched their speed, techniques, agility, and strength. Giving everything they've got to grow stronger and better than before. They need to fight for their lives and each other in order to end this nightmare. It was their own perfect dance.

By the time the sun started to set, the spar ended in a draw. Mina had Hiei at his stomach while he had her by the throat. They turned their heads at the sound of Kuwabara's voice and found that he, Kurama, Lessy, and Ashe saw the whole thing.

"Whoa... That's awesome, man! Ashe, your sister is amazing. I can't barely see the fight until it's all over." Kuwabara was in awe.

Lessy smirked, "That's how we get down in Brooklyn. It's how we survive."

Ashe nodded. "When the tournament is over, we'll make a trip there."

Kurama looked at Lessy. "Sounds like a good idea. I've never been there before, but I've always wanted to go."

"Yeah, but Brooklyn is very much different than Sarayakishi city." Lessy looks back at him.

They've continued training until the day of the dark tournament begins. Kurama, Hiei, Lessy, Kuwabara, Mina, and Ashe were waiting for Yusuke and the fifth member to arrive. Lessy already informed her father when Mina, Ashe, and herself had no choice but to participate in the tournament. Her father understood and told her to be careful and win. As soon as she got off the phone, Yusuke and the mysterious fifth member had arrived just in time.

Mina and Hiei tested out Yusuke's skills to see if he's gotten stronger for the last few months.

Yusuke blocks both of their weapons with his fingers, "Damn Hiei. Is that how you and Mina greet people and each other now?"

"I don't know where you've been all this time, but it seems that you have approved a little bit," Hiei spoke.

Kuwabara was surprised. "Approved little bit? Oh man! More like a lot of bit!!"

Kurama looked at him, "Don't be discouraged. The fact that you be able to see their movements means you've approved as well."

Mina looked at Yusuke and walked away, heading towards the ship.

Yusuke looks at Lessy, "Um, is she still pissed at me about our last conversation?"

Lessy smiled. "I wouldn't be worried about it if I were you. But if it makes you feel any better, it's her way of saying she accepts your apology."

Yusuke turned and looked at Hiei talking to Mina. He couldn't help but wonder. Are they a couple now? Oh, well.  He'll ask them later.

Everyone got on board, and it starts sailing on to their destination: the hang neck island. Team Urameshi and team Daywalker (Ashe's idea) are being vigilant with the way the demons were looking at them menacingly.

Lessy looks down and finds Yusuke sleeping. She turned her head to Kurama and raised her eyebrow, "Should we be concerned, baby?"

Kurama shook his head with a smile. "He's been training much harder than we were, my love. He deserves to get some rest."

The captain of the ship made the announcement that there's going to be a preliminary match and the masked fighter step up to the ring. The masked fighter blast their opponents out of the ring and into the ocean with a familiar technique. Lessy wonders who that person is behind the mask. She has to worry that later. The demons and vampires are ready for a free for all.

Mina and Ashe join Hiei to fight back. Kurama used his rose whip to wipe out them out. Lessy started to use her spirit energy to use the enemy's blood as a weapon to kill the rest of them. They all turned to find Yusuke knock out the last demon, still sleeping.

Kurama looked at Lessy, "How did you do that, my love?"

Lessy giggled, "Honey, you didn't think that I would fight without any defense. Did you? Read the book of the blood magic alchemy does wonders."

"Well, that's amazing. You managed to master it in less than 2 months?" Kuwabara was surprised.

"I still have a lot to learn about this magic. There are some powerful tips that are yet to be discovered." Lessy answered.

"And some can be very dangerous. You have to be careful, Lessy," Mina looks at Lessy with caution.

Lessy smiled at her, "I understand your concerns, sweetheart, but I won't have any other choice when the time comes."

Mina grabbed her hand. "Let's hope that time will never come."

As the team draws near to the hang neck island as the preliminary round has come to an end. Can they survive the ordeal of this tournament, and what surprises were they in for?
