Chapter 6

Kurama, Hiei, and Mina arrived at the abandoned hospital where Lessy's been located. Vampires and demons were surrounding the front entrance of the building. The three of them knew there was a chance that it's going to be a bloody mess if they went through the front head-on. So, they need to find a way to get inside decreetly. They found an underground parking lot where two lone guards were standing at the entrance. Mina and Hiei snuck up and killed them, and Kurama grabbed the keys to the door to let them inside the building.

"Tch. This Zuzima guy was quite clever for creating a shield in this building. Not even my Jagan eye can even trace Lessy," Hiei spoke.

Kurama looked at him, "True, but somehow Lessy found another way to get through. That's how Mina was able to find her within a week. Their vampire energies are much different than ours."

"You're correct, foxy. But we've got to hurry. Lessy's bloodthirst is about to take effect, and I fear that she's gonna go into a rage soon," Mina said as she worries.

Kurama knew what that meant when Lessy told him about what her bloodthirst would do to her consciousness. It would send her into a rage and attack anyone in her path, enemy or friend. It would be a worst-case scenario. Time is running out. They decided to split up to find Lessy first before it's too late.

Three months. It's been three months since Lessy has been kidnapped and raped by her own classmate. She then found out that she was pregnant a month later, and the demon scientist named Zuzima did the unthinkable: he extracted her fetus from her wombs without killing it while she was unconscious and lied when he told her that the baby is dead.

She felt violated and hurt about how it all happened. What had she done to deserve this? Is this her punishment for being a dhampir and falling in love with a fox demon? That's when she's started to feel numb and honing aimlessly her vampire energy because she couldn't physically escape. She is starting to feel her bloodthirst coming in, and no one is coming to save her.

Just when she thought all of her hopes were gone, someone had killed the two guards standing on the other side of the door and began to unlock it. Is someone coming to save her, or is her rapist coming back to finish the job? As the door finally opened, Lessy was surprised that he, of all people, would find her.

"H-Hiei," Lessy asked as she felt a single tear coming from her eye.

Hiei rushed up to Lessy and started to release her. She embraced him and cried on his shoulder. He was stunned for a few seconds and then wrapped his arms around her. Hearing her cry in sheer pain makes him want to murder someone.

"How did you find me," Lessy cried when she pulled away from her fire demon friend.

Hiei looked at her, "Your friend Mina is the one who found out that you're here and was ambushed. She came back, and we followed her here.

Lessy's eyes widened, "Mina is here!!"

"Yes, and Kurama is here too."

Hiei saw her flinch when he mentioned Kurama, and she looked down on the floor, feeling ashamed, "What's wrong?"

Lessy felt her eyes starting to tear up again, "I'm sorry. I tried. I really tried to fight back."

"Lessy. May I look into your mind," Hiei asked. He removed his bandana on his forehead after he got Lessy's approval and opened his Jagan eye. He saw the whole thing happen in three months prior, and it made his demon blood boiled of pure rage.

"Lessy, I want you to look at me. It's not your fault. You're not what he said you are. Do you understand me? Kurama and I will find that son of a bitch and we'll deal with him. Kurama will always love you, and he will never turn his back on you," Hiei spoke while grabbing her face to make her look at him. They spotted a spare buttoned up shirt and an underwear on the table. Lessy grabbed them and put them on.
