Energy movements

Evie's Pov

It's been a while since Carlos has woken up. He said he was going to take a shower so I ran to the others. I saw Mal and Jay in the room, and ofc they were making out. I rolled my eyes and cleared my throat. They moved away and I gestured head for them to follow me. We all made it to the hall and we waited on Ben. His parents were beside him. I frowned and Mal growled. He put his hands up in defense and I sighed. 

"What is it Eves?" Jay asked

I took a deep breath and looked at everyone.

"Carlos.."

They all looked at me

"Is awake."

Jay laughed and Mal smiled. Ben also smiled and chuckled. They all ran to his room.

"Wait!"

They all stopped

"He's taking a shower."

They all sighed and I laughed. Ben's parents seemed to be the only ones troubled by the news. I didn't let it bother me tho. I ran to his room. I looked in the shower and he wasn't here.

"Carlos?"

I looked everywhere but he just wasn't here. I got nervous and anxious, what happened to him? But my worries soon ended when I felt strong arms around me. I giggled and he spun me around. He turned me around and kissed my cheek. My eyes widened as I saw him. He was only wearing a towel and he looked so hot, sexy. He looked into my eyes and came closer. He touched my face and started caressing it. He kept looking for a while until he stepped back and shook his head. 

"What?"

"I gotta go do something real quick."

"I'll see you soon."

He walked past me and put on some clothes. He walked out the door and didn't even look back.

Carlos' Pov

I came out the back door and looked around. I knew he was here. I felt his energy in the air, I know it well. He came out and locked eyes with me. He smiled and this time there wasn't any tension or arrogance. He crossed his arms and walked a little closer to me. He stopped and looked me in the eyes.

"You're okay." 

"Like you care." 

He shook his head as if disappointed. He then sighed

"You know that I do." 

He took a step forward

"You've seen my memories and my biggest regret. You've seen all of it." 

I didn't say anything. I knew that he was right and he knew it too. He then looked around but stopped. He narrowed his eyes and grinned. 

"Evie, her energy... it's weird."

He walked around, trying to get a better sense of it.

"Have you not realized it?"

I took a deep breath

"I have."

"Do you know what this means? She could be a demon or worse.."

He smirked

"An angel."

I frowned and he laughed

"Relax little brother, it could be the Storm bond."

"Either way I like her. She's hot, caring and smart. She's... interesting just like the last one."

I pushed him away and punched him. He smiled and brushed it off. My frown stayed in place but then looked at him with curiosity

"How did you know that I'm alive?"

He laughed again

"I knew the second you woke up Carlos. You're my brother I know you better than anyone. Mals' foolish magic won't stop that." He patted my shoulder and walked past me

"See you soon brother."

He opened his wings and took off. I sighed and went back inside. I walked in the hall and saw everyone they were talking about something, about me. I stood at a distance and listened in. Man the perks of being a demon. 

"You said Carlos is awake, where is he?"

"He just took off with no explanation." Evie said

"Well where?"

"Don't know. It kinda pissed me off tho." I sighed

"Maybe it's Draven." 

"No I was able to block his energy." If only she knew

"Eves is there anything strange about him."

She paused for a sec

"No not really. He has been honest with me but I don't think completely. I think he's hiding something from me." 

My cheekbones tensed and so did my jaw. I stopped listening when I felt someone presence. He looked at me weirdly. He was about to shout but I put my hand over his mouth.

"You didn't see anything. It was a strange man who was listening no one else was here, run away." 

My eyes jolted and he ran away. Evie then called out my name

"Carlos?" 

I sharply turned to see her in front of me. I took her hand and led her to my bedroom. 

"What did you do to him?" She asked 

"Look Eves-"

"You don't get to call me that! Not right now." 

She crossed her arms and looked at me, waiting for my answer.

"I've not been completely.." I looked up at her

"Honest with you." 

She scoffed and looked at me in disbelief

"You heard me, us."

She walked up to me

"What have you been hiding, lying to me about." She paused 

"And where were you? Sneaking off, let me guess.. to another girl."

I jumped up and my eyes flashed

"Don't you dare accuse me of that!" 

She jumped back, terrified. I shook my head and my eyes jolted back. She was crying. I took her hands but she pushed me off. She slapped my cheek. I slowly looked back at her. I can't believe she just did that.

"You slapped the son of Satan, you happy?" I quickly closed my mouth, I didn't mean to say those words.

"You're not the son of Satan to me Carlos." She moved back

"Evie let me explain. Please." I looked into her eyes with hope

She nodded with hesitation and I wiped away her tears. She sat down next to me. 

"I have lied to you but only about two things, my brother.."

"And you." She got up but I took her hand

"Please, you can hate me but make me explain."

She stood still but finally sat back down.

"You have five minutes." I nodded
