Isabelle's POV

I was staying an extra couple of days in Monaco, I had already known my parents would explode on me when I get home. I was just delaying the inevitable. I'm sure Alain was already making the story worse than it was, Niki and Marlene had left but they paid the extra days I was here, even though I said I would pay. Marlene only looked at me before they left and said,

"This is what families do for each other."

So I've been here for a bit, surprisingly someone was able to keep me company although I never let him into my hotel. Or let him know what hotel I was staying at. It was getting nicer out so I wore a light sweater, just in case it was a bit chilly. As I leave to meet him in my favourite cafe the one he brought me to, I try to let all other thoughts float away.

"Isabella, it's good to see you again." Something in me craved company that I didn't even feel the discomfort as he came towards me.

"Johnny you shouldn't be surprised... I come here everyday at the same time" yes it did creep me out that he found out I came here at the same time everyday, but I didn't want to be alone.

"I know, I just wanted to see you smile."

"Thank you, I haven't smiled much since... well since my fight with my brother" I say sadly, not for the reason he thought it was.

"Siblings always fight, you guys will be close again in no time. Don't be upset over it, it's normal. I do have a question though."

'If only you knew the real reason I was upset, you wouldn't be so nice' is all I thought before answering,

"What's your question."

"Will you come to the next races? Would you be willing to come for me, stay in Toleman for the race?"

I did not expect that, I think he noticed my slight shock and he looked quite sad. In a terrible decision, and my need to not disappoint anyone else, I tried to make it up to him.

"It's not that I don't want to, it's just that I have a few modelling jobs over the time of the next two races so I won't be going at all."

His face lifts and he has another smile on his face for me, if he was less obsessed and creepy towards me I would say he looks a bit like a puppy.

"How about you come to the British Grand Prix then, or will you still be busy?"

"Ok, I'll keep it in mind, but I can't make any promises."

As soon as the words left my mouth it seemed like he thought I was coming no matter what and I hoped that maybe I could get a job during that time so I wouldn't have to go. As if that was all he wanted from me, he left with a kiss on the cheek and I was alone again. A feeling I was quite familiar with.

When I finally went home after a few more days of being alone, even Ceco left to prepare for the next race, I was getting ready to face the music of my actions. I didn't realize how bad it was going to be until I entered the doorway where the first thing I see is my mother storming towards me. Before I knew it I hear a clapping sound and ringing, my face stinging as I hit the floor. As I sit on the floor holding my cheek I hear my mother screaming at me,

"HOW DARE YOU SPEAK TO YOUR BROTHER THAT WAY!!!" I go to say something but she cuts me off,

"Don't even think about speaking, you are in so much trouble young lady. You are such a disappointment to this family, your brother has been raising our family and has done nothing but care for you and this is how you repay him?! I don't want to see you again until you beg for forgiveness and make it up for your brother. Now leave"

"What? Where am I supposed to go?"

"I don't care, just get out of my house," She says as she turns her back on me and stamps away to the kitchen.

My dad comes from around the corner, having heard everything, all he does is hand me a paper and mutter sorry under his breath. I'm too numb to cry, my feelings all surrounding the sting of my cheek. On the note is just an address and I debate even going to it, but it was my dad and I had to have hope that he still cared for me, even if it's the smallest part. I take my bags and quickly retrieve my emergency bag from my room before hailing a cab and directing him to the address. When I arrive the note says to knock 3 times in a certain way, so I do it may have been stupid but I didn't have another choice. The door opens and I see a woman standing there,

"Who are you? How did you know the knocking system with my brother?"

Brother? I didn't know my dad had any siblings, let alone one living only half an hour away.

"I'm Isabella Prost, my dad gave me this address with the instructions to knock. I got kicked out and I had nowhere to go, I'm sorry I'll just go."As I turn to leave she calls me back,

"Wait, sorry I just didn't know my brother had a daughter, why did they kick you out?"

"I talked back against my brother because he was being an ass, my mother didn't appreciate me saying something bad about her golden boy."

"Of course not, she always was an old miserable hag. Well anyone who's a black sheep of the family is more than welcome here, let's get you inside and you can tell me more about what happened."

I explain everything to her as she gets me a cup of tea, listening to me and I felt so much better telling someone that didn't immediately take my brothers side. Once I finished my story about what happened, including the mystery boy and crazy fan but I didn't tell her their names, she decided on what to do,

"Alright, let's get you to bed. You'll stay with me until you either go back to your parents house or I can clear out the spare room. Don't worry you're not alone here, I was in your position once."

Since she didn't have a spare room with a bed, I slept on the couch. It happened to be the best sleep I had in a long time. I fell asleep to the lasting feeling that maybe I wasn't as alone as I originally thought.
