End of the 1984 Season, Portugal Grand Prix

Isabelle POV

It had been months since I had seen my old family, Niki and Marlene, or even gone to a Grand Prix. I was focusing on my career and doing a lot more photo shoots, making my way up in my career. I needed a new start and I was finally having it, until I landed a job in Portugal around the same time that there was a Grand Prix. Not that I wanted to admit it I had been keeping tabs on the drivers and I knew that it all came down to this race Niki or Alain. So low and behold I found myself in the paddock, with a pass as I was no considered enough of a high status to get them. I was wearing a plain blue jumper, keeping everything simple and natural. As I was looking around for family I saw Niki and Marlene there and walked straight over to them. They turned to me in complete shock,

"What are you doing here?"

"It's been so long, where did you go?"

Niki and Marlene spoke at the same time, we all start laughing a bit.

"I needed to get away, there was too much happening. I got some jobs, just focusing on my career and myself. It really helped me a lot."

They smiled at each other and back at me, clearly seeing how much of a difference it made in my mood. As we continued to talk I hear voices behind me,

"Still siding with my competition, shame that things fell through with Toleman huh? What did I say about that pretty face. You should have listened to me in Monaco."

"Well hello Alain, mother, father, what a pleasant surprise. If you had been paying attention you would know that I've made it quite far in modelling, I don't need to rely on racing for a good income unlike my dear brother. Be careful what you say about that day in Monaco you never know what might come back to bite you in the butt." Was all I say before turning my back on them.

Third Person POV

There was someone watching in the distance, star struck when Senna saw the women who changed his life, was back in the paddock. She was as beautiful as ever and he had gotten better because of her, he only hoped she would be able to see it someday. He wasn't ready yet, he knew Toleman was holding him back from his potential which is why he had bought his way out of the contract and was heading to Lotus after the season was over. It was a shock no one saw coming, no one but Isabelle. She had been in Paris when she saw the news that he was going to Lotus for the 1985 season, she was proud.

Senna had something to prove and he was determined to do so, not matter the cost. As he continued to work on his car and pay attention to nothing else, he felt a hand on his shoulder. In surprise he looked up and saw an angel, his curly haired angel.

"Bonjour."

"Hello, Belle"

There was so much they wanted to say to each other but they didn't have the words in any language to express the feelings they felt when they saw each other. They just stared into each others eyes, and something incredible happened, they saw each others soul. In that moment, they knew, they didn't need anything. That was all they said to each other before the race started.

It was a lot, Senna pushed himself determined to end the season with Toleman in the best way possible. He was going to do everything possible to end up on that podium, he was passing people going left right, through the inside and around the outside. Ahead of him was a battle unlike any other, Niki and Prost were fighting for the championship. It all came down to this and they were giving it everything they could to beat the other.

Isabelle watched from the inside of McLaren, hoping for Niki to get that third championship, knowing that he was ready to stop soon. Niki took the lead and everyone cheered, he crossed the finish line and everything was made clear. All those months ago, Isabelle had been right. Alain's decision to stop the race came back to haunt him forever, he lost the championship that year to Niki Lauda by half a point.

Isabelle's POV

Marlene and I cheered as Niki crossed the line,

"He did it! He fucking did it! He won!" I shouted.

Looking at Marlene she was crying, I hear more sobs and I look to see my old family, my mother crying at the fact that Alain lost. I wouldn't say I was smug, but it's not everyday that your worthless family gets what they deserve. I hear the commentator say one more thing that brings joy to my face once again,

"Ayrton Senna claims 3rd place in his last race with Toleman"

We all rush to the podium where two people are celebrating and one is angry, anyone can guess which was which. After celebrations, the world was watching so I took this chance as I walk up to Alain.

"What did I say about being a coward to stop the race? This has come to haunt you, maybe next time you'll win with integrity. Except we both know there's nothing worthy about you, you'll never be anything unless you cheat for it. You should have listened to me in Monaco, it costs you everything in the end." I say in such a calm voice that it scared everyone sending shivers up anyone that heard spine.

Alain looked at me in such pain and anger I know I will never forget that face for the rest of my life. I turn to Ayrton standing in front of me,

"This is only the beginning, the past is just data, Only look at the future"

He takes a step forward so we are almost face to face, ghosts of smiles on our faces, but matching seriousness in our eyes. This was our moment in time.

Third Person POV

It was as if the world had been frozen in that moment, no one could turn their eyes away. Even though Lauda had won, the victory couple were watching the two young up comers. There was no denying that they had only started to climb the steps to their potential. To the world they were just beginning, to the two of them it was so much more. They were the same, in the beginning of time they were made of a star that had split in two. Two halves made of star dust, destined to burn and now that they had found each other, recognized each other, the world would see how bright a star would shine on Earth.

Author's note,

Thanks to everyone reading this. We finished Part One of this story and will now go into Part Two which will cover the 1985-1887 basically his Lotus career before the move to McLaren, I've already decided that Part Three will cover his McLaren years and we'll see if I do a part four or not.
