Isabelle's POV

I feel cold, cold and wet, wet and weightless, weightless and choking. I feel my lungs tighten, feel the water gripping my throat. I start coughing, coughing and I hear screaming that pierces the dark air. I startle and open my eyes, cold air touches the tear stained streams down my cheeks. I hear my own voice screaming in my ears, I can barely catch my breath.

"Amor it was just a dream, you're alright I'm here." Ayrton's soothing voice echoed in my ears, his hand stroking my hair and holds me tight.

"It wasn't a dream...it was real." I say through my sobs.

He just continued to hold me through the night, I looked at the clock through my tears, it was only 3 am. He never left my side, he stayed awake with me...for me. I don't remember when my eyes shut again.

Third Person POV

"AHHH PLEASE, HELP.... HELP ME...AYRTON!!" The scream wracked the house, waking up everyone that was sleeping.

They all rush towards the sound, stopping in front of Ayrton's room, but it was Vivianne who stopped them from entering.

"Don't!" She harshly whispered to her family.

"She clearly needs us, get out of the way Vivianne!" Leo says, about to push her out of his way before his mother grabs his shoulder lightly.

"Isabelle...Isabelle! My amor, wake up...you're safe." They all heard Ayrton trying to wake Isabelle up.

Leo looked at his sister with tears swelling in his eyes and his sister knew all too well what it meant...her brothers were in love with the same woman. But now she did't quite know what would happen, for the older of the two has hurt her best friend one too many times.

Ayrton's POV

I hold her in my arms and my thoughts wander as I say soft things in her ear, waiting until she sleeps again. She had already been through so much and a lot of it was my fault. I had hurt her before, more than once in fact. And now this, her almost drowning was completely my fault. I look down at her fluttering eyes, drooping close even as she fights sleep. The guilt was boiling in my stomach and my mind was plagued by what might have happened if I hadn't gone looking for her on the beach.

I don't know how long it was before she fell asleep, but I didn't sleep after her. I stayed up, stroking her hair, making sure she stayed asleep. When the sun arose she was still sleeping, but there was too much on my mind so I tried to quietly out the door. She stirred as I got up, grumbling slightly.

"hmmm...What?"

"Shhh go back to sleep my amor, I'm going to go help my family with breakfast." I kiss her forehead lightly and slip out of the room.

My family was already in the kitchen working on food, when they heard me I saw the pity in their eyes.

"Good morning, how are you?" Mamae asked me, but I knew her mind was on Isabelle... just like mine was.

"I'm alright, she's still sleeping. I'm going to let her sleep in, it was a hard night." I explain to them but I already knew that they had heard her last night.

"And whose fault is that." Leo mumbled, but I still heard him and it made my blood boil.

"What did you just say?" I say angrily.

Leo get up from his seat and gets in my face, only making me more angry.

"You heard me perfectly well what I said, if it weren't for you she wouldn't be having those nightmares!" Vivianne runs to us and tries to get us to calm down.
