Ayrton's POV

I can't believe it, I just won my first race. Not just won it, but I beat the odds and did it in such a unique way. Yet even though I won the only thing that was on my mind was Isabelle, the short tempered curly haired beauty. I knew that she would keep her promise and was waiting for me, as I climb out of the car in the rain I couldn't help but take off my helmet and bask in the rain. People surround me, cheering for me, and I enjoy the feeling of bringing pride to my people as I stand on the podium listening to my countries anthem. This was the feeling of winning and I was determined this wouldn't be the last time I stood on the top step.

I try to still spend time with my team, but I also claimed to be exhausted sooner than people expected just so I could go back to her. Thankfully because of the rain and difficulty it was somewhat believable as to why I would want to leave celebrating early and not want to go out that night. As soon as I could I ran back to my drivers room, hoping she would still be there. Opening my door I was relieved to see her figure, soaked from the rain, looking out the window as the sky was clearing up revealing another sunset that lit up the sky in fire. She heard me come in and turned around with a smile that lights up the room, she dashes towards me and I only have second to catch her as she throws her arms around me, she's lucky I have quick reflexes.

"I'm so proud of you, I told you that this was your race!" She says next to my ear, as I set her back on the ground.

"Thank you Isabella, it feels more special knowing that you were here cheering me on."

She smiles shyly, blushing at my comment and I couldn't help but lean down to kiss her. Her lips are soft and careful, as if not wanting to push things past a certain point, but as I pull her close she becomes more aggressive. Gripping my hair and pushing her body against mine we struggle for dominance, kissing as if our lives were dependant on each other. I pull away slowly, not wanting to end it but I also knew we needed to clear some things up between us. Both of us pant slowly, catching our breaths and sorting out my thoughts I carefully pick out what to say next.

"I thought you were mad at me, when I read it I thought you would never want to see me ever again."

"I thought I was too, maybe part of me still is, but it turns out I'm learning how to forgive and heal. I don't know how I feel, but I've lost too many people to know how important relationships are. I have my father back, I have my brother back, after losing my Aunty I know I can't lost you too. As much as I want to deny it, I care about you deeply."

I look up from her and notice it's almost dark, the rain finally stopping, and an idea comes to me. Grabbing her hand I start dragging her to the door.

"Come on, follow me."

"What? Senna where are you taking me? People will see us!" She says panicked as I chuckle.

"It's dark outside one will notice!"

I watch as her face turns in shock, glimpsing at the window's dark shadow, before I bring her out onto the track. I watch silently as she looks around visibly relaxing as she sees that there is no one else around us.

"I told you there would be no one here, everyone has gone home."

She doesn't say anything after that and I don't either, instead I watch as she slowly walks around the track with the sun almost dipping below the horizon. I calmly walk up behind her, wrapping my arms around her waist as we watch the last sliver of sun go down.

"Aunty used to tell me stories about the sun, the moon, and the stars. She told me that the Sun was alone in the universe until the Earth came along, he loved the Earth, it consumed his every energy in shining his light and changing Earth. But the Earth kept moving, until the Moon came along she was beautiful but hidden behind a shadow. No one noticed the Moon until the Sun saw her and shone his light upon her, suddenly she was seen. She followed the Sun around the Earth, knowing that the Sun would ever be out of her reach and everyday as the sun disappeared they had one moment where they could meet before being separated. The Sun felt bad for focusing on the Earth so much that he wanted to prove his love for Moon so he gave her the Stars to keep her company when he wasn't there, so she wouldn't be lonely." Isabelle says softly while watching the night sky come alive with a million lights.
