JK's eyebrows furrowed slightly, a hint of suspicion flickering in his eyes. "Who is this friend?" he inquired, his tone guarded.

Y/N hesitated, unsure how much to reveal. "His name is Jhope," she replied, watching JK's reaction carefully.

There was a moment of silence as JK processed her words, his expression unreadable. "Jhope?" he repeated, his voice tinged with caution. "I don't recall you mentioning him before."

"He's a new friend," Y/N explained quickly, feeling a pang of guilt at the half-truth.

JK's eyebrows furrowed slightly, a hint of suspicion flickering in his eyes. "Is this the guy we met at the restaurant?" he questioned, his voice tinged with caution. "He's your friend? Are you sure? Because I didn't quite like him..."

Y/N hesitated, her mind racing as she considered how to respond. She knew JK's instincts were usually spot-on, but she couldn't shake the feeling that she needed to give Jhope a chance. "Yes, it's him," she admitted, "but I think I should meet him because he wanted to...and he reached out to me online, so..."

JK studied her for a moment, his expression unreadable. "Just be careful, Y/N," he finally said, his tone softening with concern. "You know I don't trust strangers, especially if you've only met them online."

"I promise to stay cautious," Y/N assured him, feeling a mixture of gratitude and apprehension.

With a nod, JK gave her a final warning glance before returning to his book, leaving Y/N to wrestle with her own doubts as she prepared to meet Jhope.

[Cafe]

As Y/N sat across from Jhope in a bustling cafe, her mind churned with uncertainty. She had agreed to meet him, despite her reservations, opting for a public setting to ensure her safety. Yet, as Jhope delved into cryptic discussions about JK's alleged involvement in the mafia, Y/N's unease only grew.

"I've been meaning to talk to you about JK," Jhope began, his tone serious.

Y/N's heart skipped a beat, her eyes narrowing in suspicion. "What about him?" she asked cautiously.

Jhope leaned in, his voice lowered to a whisper. "I've heard some things, Y/N. Things that suggest JK might be in deeper than we realize."

Y/N's breath caught in her throat, her mind reeling at the implications of Jhope's words. She knew about JK's involvement in the mafia for some time now, but to hear it confirmed by someone else sent a chill down her spine.

"What kind of things?" she pressed, her voice barely above a whisper.

Jhope hesitated, glancing around the cafe as if checking for eavesdroppers. "Rumors mostly, but rumors with some truth to them," he admitted. "They say JK's been making deals, connections with some unsavory characters. It's dangerous, Y/N. He's playing with fire."

A knot formed in the pit of Y/N's stomach as she listened to Jhope's revelations. "What am I supposed to do?" she murmured, her voice barely audible over the din of the cafe.

Jhope reached across the table, placing a reassuring hand on hers. "You need to be careful, Y/N. Watch your back," he warned. "And maybe... consider what side you're really on."

Jhope leaned in, his eyes glinting with intrigue as he broached a topic that sent shivers down Y/N's spine.

"Have you heard about the mysterious door in JK's house?" Jhope whispered, his voice barely above a murmur.
