"I know you don't think that I am trying. I know you're wearing thin down to the core but hold your breath because tonight will be the night that I will fall for you over again." ~ Secondhand Serenade

Creative Department was not that far from my department---Sales---so when I felt like seeing Jade, I could visit her anytime and she would be in her desk, practicing what she does well, writing. She had been my friend since the world began that she and I were like sisters already.

Being her sister, I was really ecstatic when I found out that she would be in my next project. At last, we would be working in the same field! So as soon as I found that out, I hurried to her office only to find out that she was summoned tothe Administrative office.

I was intrigued to the bone about those two. Sir Ence was a very successful businessman yet he didn't appear to have interest with romantic relationships. Yes, from time to time, I heard Ace talked about their group of friends being in flings or short-term relationships, but sir Ence was not the type to be in a serious long-term relationship.

Ace told me about sir Ence's traumatic past relationship with a girl who died a couple of years ago and left him with a daughter. However, the child and that story was kept from the PRESS so nobody but Ace and me knew about it. According to Ace's story, sir Ence never got involved with anyone romantically since the death of that girl. Instead, he focused his attention to the expansion of Flamel's Corp.
Yes, Ace and I were quite close with each other so I heard a lot from him. And, yes, we're in a relationship. A secret relationship that I couldn't share with anyone---even with Jade. Not yet, anyway. The right time would come, as what Ace would always remind me.

It was in these thoughts that my mind sailed when I collided into someone and we both fell on the floor with him on top. Then I realized I was in the Executive Floor and Ace's face was few inches from mine. He brushed his lips on mine before helping me to my feet.

"Watch out, miss," he laughed.
"Dude, you were the one who bumped into me," I bantered. "But I apologize nonetheless."
"I forgive you," he smirked then pulled me back to the elevator, which I didn't remember getting in.
"Where, do you think, are you taking me?" I asked.
"To my heart," he replied as he pushed the button.

I laughed at that but I knew better than to get carried away by my emotions.

"Seriously, though," I insisted.
"I have a job to do. Ence asked me to look for someone. Thing is, I only have a name and I don't know where to begin. The world is just too big to search for just one person within a month," he run a hand through his messy red hair as he looked up.
"Easy now, I'll do my best to help you," I smiled to him.

He returned it with the most refreshing smile I had ever seen and everything else mattered less.

When I returned to my desk, the rest of the day passed by so quickly that I had not notice it was time to go home until Jorge tapped my shoulder signaling that he would be leaving.
Victorique and I would meet at the basement parking lot at six and it was five 'thirty already so I scurried to pack my stuff and followed Jorge out. We would pick my things from my house because I would be living with in her apartment from now on.

The idea thrilled me that I quickly packed my things last night. I even thought to bring Dustin's mannequin but then I remembered that I had lost the key to his room so I gave up the idea instead.
I came before Victorique so I took the liberty to recount the events of the day as I waited for her by her car.
"Let me love you," Lawrence's words echoed in my head. "When he finds his way back and you still do not love me as much as I do, I will return you to him." Did he really mean it? Could he even do that? He was a business tycoon so why waste his time with a no one like me?
"Dustin, it's okay, isn't it? It's okay to have a life while you're not here. It's okay to let him love me, isn't it? It's okay as long as I don't love him as much as I love you, right?"
