"I'm gonna pick up the pieces and build a lego house. If things go wrong, we can knock it down." ~Ed Sheeran

I didn't know that my idea of having an online forum for Flamel's would actually materialize. Lucky I had Mr. Calixtro's listening ears, Victorique's support, and Lawrence's influence. Though I still thought it was mostly Lawrence's influence that made the team listen to my nonsense, it was still fulfilling to know that I had contributed to this project that Victorique was presenting to the Sales Department.

"This incredible idea is from none other than our beloved Miss Jade Hargreaves of the Creative Department. How about a round of applause for her!" Victorique ended her presentation.

Applause came from all corners of the conference room and I swear my face was as red as a tomato while they shook my hand to thank me of the progress of our project.

"Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe you're Mr. Ence's girlfriend, right?" someone asked me.

"Uh, something like that," I found myself giggling.

"Congratulations, miss," another woman of, I think, thirty shook my hand. "Can you, please, ask Mr. Ence to pay a visit in our department someday? We seldom see him in person in this department."

"I... yeah... sure," I nodded reluctantly.

"Oh, thank you!" she hugged me tightly before someone pulled me by my waist.

"Having fun?" he asked. "You can tell your Mr. Ence to start looking for another girl now because I'm taking such a beauty with me," he placed a finger on my lips and the crowd cheered.

"That's not a proper way to talk to a lady, Steve," someone barked from behind us.

We all turned to see a mop of red hair and I recognized him as Sir Ace. Victorique's fiancé.

"I'm just kidding, Ace. Chill!" Steve removed his hand from my waist and held them up to surrender.

"I'm sorry for that, miss," Sir Ace addressed me as Steve stepped back to give way to him.

Looking at him now made me remember my first day in Flamel's. He was the kind one who helped find my department when I was applying. He even warned me to keep my distance from Lawrence. Now that I thought of this, I realized I hadn't answer that question yet. Was I that preoccupied by what I really felt towards Lawrence? 'Ence can't handle you with as much care as you need,' Sir Ace once told me. Lawrence even said before that he gave up. That, surely, Sir Ace won't forgive him but he gave up and admitted that he was in love with me.

Sir Ace didn't look as pompous as I thought Lawrence was. If anything, he looked like a ball of positive energy with his red hair. Yet, the more I looked at him, the more I felt that secrecy in him as if he held huge secret missions in him.

"Mr. Steve, your presence is requested in the Administrative office. I believe the two of you have a very important matter to settle?" he smirked to Mr. Steve. "I don't want to ruin the fun, people, but we have work to do and sales to top by the end of the week so let's go back to our office and rock it up!" Sir Ace addressed the crowd and it was dispersed almost instantly.

I was left in the conference room with Sir Ace and Victorique. Sir Ace approached her and they were locked in a passionate embrace the next second that I felt the urge to leave. He was absolutely in love with my best friend just as my best friend did. It was one thing to be the girl friend of the company president and it was another to be best buddies with the AVP's fiancé. Perhaps, I would do my best friend a favor if I would give them the privacy they needed and settle my own thoughts in my desk for the meantime.
