The night was deep, the moonlight casting a tranquil glow over Luke's Jedi Academy. Inside his hut, Ben lay in his bed, the weight of restlessness keeping him company. Sleep eluded him yet again, and his thoughts were a swirling mixture of the past and the present.

As he lay there, caught between wakefulness and the realm of dreams, the voices of his parents echoed in his mind. Soft and distant at first, they gradually grew clearer, as if carried by a gentle breeze through the corridors of time.

"Ben," his mother's voice whispered, a tone of tenderness and resolve intertwined. "It's time."

In his mind's eye, he saw himself as a young boy standing before his parents. His mother, Leia Organa, looked at him with love and determination.

"I'm sending you to your uncle Luke," the voice of Leia continued. "He will teach you to become a Jedi."

Young Ben's voice responded, filled with uncertainty and a touch of sadness. "But Mom, what about Dad?"

Leia's voice held a soft sadness as she replied, "Your father disagrees with me, Ben. He's worried about the dangers. But I believe this is the path you're meant for."

A pang of longing gripped Ben's heart as he heard his young voice say, "I'll miss you, Mom."

Leia's voice was steady, though he could sense a hint of her sorrow. "I'll miss you too. But this is for the best. You're strong in the Force and have a destiny to fulfill."

Tears welled up in Ben's eyes as he sat up in his bed, his chest heavy with emotions he had buried deep within himself. The weight of his parents' absence bore down on him, their voices a bittersweet reminder of the love and guidance he had lost. The ache of missing his parents was a wound that had never truly healed. As the echoes of those distant voices faded, Ben gazed out of the hut's window at the night sky, the stars shimmering like distant memories.

The early morning sun painted the sky with hues of gold and pink as Ben stood outside his ship. Tools and equipment lay scattered around as he conducted his pre-flight checks, the rhythmic sounds of his tasks a stark contrast to the increasing turmoil in his mind. As he ran his hand along the ship's hull, lost in thought, he heard distant sounds coming from the heart of the temple. He followed the sound, his steps leading him to a small circular room where Luke was guiding a group of younger students through their training exercises.

Ben paused at the doorway, his eyes fixed on Luke's serene demeanor as he interacted with the students. The scene was a testament to the legacy of the Jedi, to the guidance and wisdom that Luke was imparting to the next generation. Luke's gaze shifted, catching Ben's presence in the doorway. A gentle smile spread across his face, his eyes warm and knowing. Ben was torn between interrupting this moment and finding the courage to share his concerns.

With a disappointed crease in his brow, he turned away from the doorway, leaving Luke to oversee the training of the younger Jedi students. He walked back toward his ship, his footsteps echoing in the quiet morning air.

Meanwhile, Luke noticed Ben's departure and rose from his crouched position. His voice carried a reassuring tone as he addressed the young students. "Alright, everyone, keep practicing. I'll be back in a moment."

With that, Luke followed after Ben, his steps measured and unhurried. He caught up just as Ben reached his ship, the sleek vessel standing as a silent witness to their unspoken connection.

"Ben," Luke's voice was gentle, tinged with concern, "Is everything okay?"

Ben glanced at his uncle, his conflicted emotions evident in his eyes. He hesitated for a moment, the weight of his thoughts pulling at him. But then, as if deciding to shield his inner turmoil, he offered a shallow nod.
