As Ben's ship touched down on Ossus, the planet was already cloaked in the embrace of night. Ben stepped out into the cool darkness. Weary from his journey and the events that had just taken place on Corvan, he made his way to his hut, the solemn echo of his footsteps punctuating the silence of the night.

Inside the hut, a dim light cast long shadows across the room. Ben hesitated for a moment, the weight of Snoke's words heavy on his shoulders. He took a deep breath, unclipping his lightsaber and placing it carefully on the table beside his bed.

The room felt emptier than before as if the darkness outside had seeped into his very abode.

Meanwhile, R2-D2 roused from its evening shutdown in a corner of the temple with a series of characteristic whistles. The droid's alertness seemed to resonate through the Force, catching Luke's attention.

Luke emerged from one of the temple's entryways, his eyes catching the small, candle-like glow emanating from Ben's hut. A flicker of concern crossed his face. He then walked towards his hut, leaving the night to reclaim its quiet hold on Ossus.

Inside his dwelling, Luke lay down.

As Luke succumbed to the embrace of sleep, the dream realm became a canvas for his deepest fears. In the ethereal corridors of his nightmares, he found himself on the precipice of a void, an abyss of endless darkness.

Before him, a figure materialized, barely hanging on over the yawning chasm. It was Ben, his desperate cries echoing through the nothingness. "Luke, please," Ben pleaded, his voice strained and distant.

With a Jedi's resolve, Luke extended his hand towards Ben, striving to pull him from the edge of the abyss.

Yet, as Luke's efforts intensified, an unseen force, potent and malevolent, resisted.

In a sudden, violent twist, Ben was wrenched from Luke's grasp, sucked below by an invisible maelstrom. The echoes of his cries faded into the void, leaving Luke in the disorienting aftermath of a dream gone awry.

With a gasp, Luke awoke in the quiet of his hut. He took a moment to steady himself after the haunting nightmare.

The morning, shrouded in darkness, offered little solace. The starry sky twinkled overhead as he donned his cloak and pulled the hood over his head.

Luke strode to the entrance of his hut, casting a concerned gaze towards Ben's dwelling. The shadows seemed to cling to his nephew. The journey to Ben's hut was a somber walk.

Luke entered silently, finding Ben immersed in a deep slumber. Drawing nearer, Luke extended his senses through the Force, hoping for reassurance, but he was met with a wave of terror. Visions of Ben's potential future unfolded before him, a catastrophic force capable of obliterating everything Luke held dear.

Frightened and angered by the revelation, Luke instinctively reached for his lightsaber. The emerald blade flared to life, casting an eerie glow in the darkened room. The conflict within Luke reached a boiling point. He couldn't bear the thought of the destruction Ben might cause, and his fear pushed him to desperate measures.

However, just as Luke prepared to act, a sudden pang of shame gripped him. This wasn't the Jedi way; it wasn't the path of redemption and understanding. The ignited lightsaber flickered as Luke hesitated, torn between his duty as a Jedi and the familial bond he shared with Ben.

Their eyes met, a fleeting moment of recognition. In that instant, Luke saw not a dark harbinger of doom but a scared and vulnerable student. Yet, before he could reevaluate his decision, Ben, driven by fear and anger, summoned his lightsaber from the nearby table. The two blades clashed in a resounding collision.
