Chapter 14 (Phantom Lord Arc): The Strongest Under the Heavens - Part 1

Outside of the Fairy Tail Guild.. Magnolia.. Kingdom of Fiore.. July 26th, X784.. Late Afternoon..

Although multiple battles were taking place inside the Phantom Lord mecha, the Fairy Tail mages on the outside were still fighting the ghostly figures that Jose Porla unleashed earlier. Despite being able to overwhelm these ghostly figures with their respective attacks, they would always regenerate back by rebuilding themselves or fusing together which creates a stronger ghost..

It was becoming a losing battle for the Fairy Tail mages..

As Cana unleashes another Thunderbolt's Fate card at her opponent as she paralyzes the ghostly figures, she quickly looks up at the magic circles that were above the mecha and realizes that some of the magic circles are beginning to crack slowly. Which meant that Goku's plan was working and defeating all the Elemental Four members was essential to save Magnolia..

"It seems that Goku-kun's plan is working so far! We just need to hold on a bit more here!" thought the Card Mage as she felt a new wave of motivation coming through her body "Alright everyone listen up! The others are so far accomplishing their goal in stopping the Abyss Break so we need to keep fighting until they are finish! We can't let them down!"

"You heard the girl in charge everyone! We can't let them down so we need to keep fighting until it's truly over!" added Ur to the conversation with newfound motivation as she summons a light blue magic circle and unleashes her attack "Ice-Maker: Rose Garden!"

Suddenly a giant rose garden made of ice resurface from the ground and covers the majority of the battlefield where the ghostly figures were located, as a result freezing or destroying them on the spot..

Ur's attack made every Fairy Tail member more motivated and began to counter-attack by using their own respective attacks towards their opponents. However the only one who wasn't attacking was a certain orange-haired mage..

"Why do I have a sudden bad feeling that something isn't right..!" thought Loke as he felt sweat coming down from his forehead. Then his eyes went suddenly wide when he came to a horrifying realization "Oh no.. Please don't tell me something happened to Lucy..!"

Without wasting time, Loke ran to the Fairy Tail guild and went to the secret hallway where Reedus was supposed to take Lucy. When he arrived to the hallway he let out a gasp as he looks at how destroyed the place looks, ahead of him he could see Reedus laying down on the floor all beaten up..

"Reedus-san!" shouted Loke as he ran to where Reedus was laying down and began to help him sit up "What happened here? Do you know where Lucy-san is?!"

"I'm sorry Loke.. She was captured by Black Steel Gajeel, I wasn't a match against him he's too strong..!" responded Reedus with some difficulties since his injuries were still fresh after trying to fight off Gajeel..

"Goddamn it!" shouted in frustration the orange-haired mage to himself as he punches the ground "I should've have known that these events would happen but I couldn't do nothing! I'm still too scared to approach another Celestial Mage after what happened with the previous one I met! I'm worse than shit!"

Before Loke could continue his train of thought, he heard a loud shockwave that destroyed the windows of the guild which made him cover Reedus and himself from the glass shards falling down. The orange haired mage went to the nearest window to see what was going on, to his surprise he saw that the top of the Phantom Lord mecha was almost destroyed as if the shockwave that just occurred came from there..

Loke didn't know what could be happening up there, but all he knows is that he hopes Goku or the others that went with him could rescue Lucy from Gajeel. He wouldn't be able to forgive himself if something happened to her, it would just add more weight to the punishment he imposed on himself years ago..
