Chapter 42: As a family

Diego and BB was in the back of the village away from the other people hidden within the shadows of the bushes and trees. Diego was squatting on the ground, picking at the petals of a lily.

"Another travel out was something that I did not plan on doing with Jade," BB said casually, allowing herself to relax against the stonewall of the barrier. The guards on patrol on top of the barrier was too far off the ground to be able to hear what their leader was talking about with the white haired beastmen. But it did not stop them from looking down at the curious when they so happened to be moving in their direction. "But if your father is heading passed the direction where we are at then I need to get started on leaving. How certain you are about him going pass here."

"The Annuel Mayor meeting, this month is supposed to be Wild City to host it. Even though Wild City is a hot mess at the moment, my father and other Mayors would not pass up the opportunity to take a dig on him." Diego answered, feeling excited at the idea of having Mayor Silas trying not snap at the four Mayors. "I would not put it passed my father to try and steal something because it just so happens to be unguard to 'prove a point.'.

"How will I be certain that it would not be a trap? I hope I don't need remind you that I have no intention on revealing my location."

"I am not willing to risk my relationship with Jade and the other men just for my father," Diego said bluntly. "I am happy with Jade, the weak willed Yima, and short temper Alan. Even if he does act strange at times. Also, I believe that I might made some friendships with Jake and Carson who will try to kill me if I dare ruined this for them. My only desire is to strengthen the defense of this village by the time the whole world knows about this area. The best thing I can do now is build numbers."

"How touching, it is nice to see that Jade is loved so much, I hope that the rest of the women will get just as much love with their deserved partners." BB said as she took a couple steps away from him, stretching. "I am done with this conversation; I am planning on leaving two days so enjoy your time with your family until then."

'I guess my days as a middleman in the interrogation will be coming soon. Hopefully, the old man does not do anything embarrassing when the time comes.' Diego sighed as he stood up and began making his way towards the direction, he knows that his family was. As he made his way towards that the direction, he felt irritated when he saw the same green haired man from earlier was heading towards the same direction with four women beside him. He seemed to be having a heated argument with the brown haired one while the woman with black hair pulled into a ponytail ignored them in favor of the blonde. The last one seems to be more to herself.

"HEY!!" Diego shouted, catching their attention. Aspen sucked his teeth in annoyance when he saw Diego jogging to catch up with them.

"What are you doing?"

"I pretty certain that the answer would be obvious," Aspen replied, flatly. "We are going to see our friend; do you have a problem with that?"

"I have no problem with the women coming over, but I do care if you go," Diego told him, he got closer to him and sharpen his nails prepare for a fight. "Unless you plan on apologizing to Yuma for the tight hold on his hand. The last thing I want is Yuma to feel uncomfortable because of your presence."
