A/N: I hope everyone had a happy fourth of July

"The woman you are talking about is neither me nor Angelika," Becca informed him. "She is somewhere else."

"Oh?" Mayor Thomas frowned and let go of his son before smiling again. "I guess you did not want to move her yet. Is she pregnant? AM I GOING TO BE A GRANDFATHER!"

'He's a cheerful man,' Becca thought, grinning at the excited man. "She is pregnant but not by your son."

"Aw man, I guess I have to wait a little longer." Mayor Thomas shrugged his shoulders but glaring at Diego. "But that does not mean I am willing to allow you to keep your mate hidden from your old man. I am expecting once she gives birth, I am going to meet her, right?"

Diego put a hand on his chin and looked up at the sky, thinking about it. As tempting it is to show off his mate and his new partners in the terms of family the idea of dealing with his noisy father coming around so soon is a turn off. "Maybe?"

"What the hell do you mean 'maybe'?" Mayor Thomas snapped at his son, only to pout when Diego stopped paying attention to him.

"Where are your guards?" Diego asked, not able to smell any of the usual signs of a Scorch City resident nearby.

"I told them to go ahead and get a place set up for me to sleep," Mayor Thomas looked over at Becca and the others. "But if I had known I would receive such an exciting opportunity with two females and a strong beastman, I would have order them to make extra huts. But the last one is uncertain, are you Mayor Laurel's brother?"

"Yes, sir." The Tropic beastman answered after he gave a polite bow to him. "My name is Brain, the fourth son of the white deer royal family."

"A bird in a deer family, that sounds like hell." Mayor Thomas commented, wincing at the thought of those annoying stuck-up clan. "A strange case but not something I cannot tolerate as long as you do not try to leak anything to your sister then I am fine to allow you citizenship."

Brian stiffens and glances at Becca, which Mayor Thomas caught. "Speaking of my city, how about we head to the backward Wild City and talk about its flaws when compared to mine?"

At the gate of Wild City, Mayor Silas stood there waiting for Mayor Thomas with a scowl. His long dirty blond hair was cut to shoulder length and stress lines started to appear on his face.

"Damn mutt can't even show up on time." Mayor Silas muttered, the other Mayors already came and settled in their tents before coming out to 'help' him in restoration and calming down the frustrated mass. 'In reality, those bastards are trying to steal them away from me. If I knew how stressful this was going to be, I would try to work out a deal for Len to make the invasion a little smaller but no matter. It is all worth it to get my plan back on track.'
