ever since ladybug used her lucky charm, he's forgotten about that day. about ĥ̵̛̻̒͛̃͊̎̒̿̆̍͝ė̴̛̥̼͖̥̪͍̽̊͌̐̉͆̂͐͠͠r̶̢̛̛̳͚̥̦͚̩̙̝̝̥̪̠̟̐̏̇̈́̓̓̀̀͊̓͠ͅ, about what happened, the emotions he felt, all of it. he learned to dissociate from it. and here she was bringing these bubbling feelings back. surely, he'd be fine. he's good at suppressing things, he was a superhero for gods sake. he waved off any negative emotions, reminding himself that things are different now. he's different now.———
it was really awkward...
you and adrien agreed to have another study day since a test was coming up, but with the former interaction you two had, the air was suffocating. really suffocating. silence wallowed the two of you, as you were both working on seperate sheets of paper, the both of you not muttering a word to each other.
instead of studying, you stared at adrien, watching him intently scribble numbers onto his notebook. without you noticing, you let out a big sigh.
adrien looked back at you, eyebrows raised. realizing you've been caught staring, you quickly straightened your back and cleared your throat. body getting hot from embarasment, you started to laugh awkwardly. "kinda s-stuffy in here huh? should.. probably open a window!" you squealed running to the window, trying to pry it open, but to your luck, it was glued shut.
awkwardly looking back at adrien, who stared at you with a deadpanned expression, you tried to force the window to open, anxious because you felt his eyes born into your back. your thumb slipped off the handle, causing the window to slam open. however, the force you had on the handle was so strong that when it opened, you had fell down.
"ack!" you screamed, falling down to the floor from the force. "y/n!" adrien said running to you. you rubbed your head in pain, as you hit the chair that belonged to the drums set, it falling down with you. "ow.." you muttered. "are you okay?" staring at his oddly bright orange shoes-- to his beautiful wide green eyes. offering his hand out, you hesitantly grabbed it. trying to pull you up, your hand laid on a piece of paper which lost your balance, causing you to fall back, adrien falling shortly after.
you felt your face heat up from embarrassment, staring wide-eyed you swore your eyes could pop out of their sockets. adrien's body was so close to yours, your two noses almost a touch away. your legs quickly shot up, knocking adrien in the nose. running back to your seat embarrassed you groaned into your arms.
you couldn't believe that you fell in front of paris' heart throb, let alone were inches away from him. you've never seen him that close, however you couldn't even process the details because of how embarassed you were to even look anywhere but his eyes.
his eyes...
they were... ones of oceans honestly. big, bright, mesmerizing depths of emerald waves. maybe it was the sun in his eyes, or the quick judgment of yours, but you swore you saw a hint of mischief in his eyes. however, it had you thinking, adrien's eyes were one of the most memorable things about him, it was rare to find another whose eyes were as vibrant as his, but you couldn't help but notice the melancholy that turmoiled in his green pools. it was like, they were longing for something, emitting such a sad twinkle. a silent plea.
as beautiful as they were, for some reason, the more you stared at them, the more you started to feel your chest get heavy.
"hello? earth to y/n?" your thoughts were quickly disturbed when you felt multiple pats on your arm. looking up from your arms to face adrien who held his nose in an intimidating demeanour, caused you to shrink into your seat. "im a model y/n, you can't just hit my face like that," he said punching you lightly. "sorry adrien, when i fell i got scared and embarassed..." you whispered. he sighed, "are you okay? that was quite the fall.." you shrugged. "it's fine, i'm used to falling," you said with a chuckle. adrien fell silent and you realized how dark that comment was. "nevermind that! let's just uh.. focus on work!" you said frantically fumbling through your notebook pages.
"are you acting this way because of what i said about chat noir?"
stoping your frantic fumbling, you gulped mumbling a 'yes.' you heard adrien sigh. "i didn't mean to scare you, i'm just trying to protect you? wait that sounds a bit weird— i mean i'm looking out for you as a friend." he said. you turned to look at him, "but... you wouldn't understand. i can't explain it, but i just— i can't stay away from him, i need to talk to him." adrien's faced softened as he saw the upset expression that you wore on your face.
you noticed his fingers flinch ever so slightly, but watched as he gracefully cupped your hand with his, rubbing your hand to soothe you.
you weren't lying if you said you felt like you were about to sweat buckets because of how hot your hands became. with every rub of his thumb, sent electric shocks throughout your body. you were scared he'd notice how sweaty your hands have become, but he continued to soothe you so.
"it's hard when no one understands. if i were to tell you, you'd think i'm crazy. ever since i got here, it's been great, fun even! minus the akuma attacks," adrien lightly chuckled at the last part. "but.. there's been this gut feeling, these.. well— i don't know how to explain it. but i feel like the reason i'm having these feelings and occurance is because of him. you probably think i'm silly huh?" adrien shook his head. "i know the feeling very well of not feeling heard, i have secrets too, problems, that no one else would or could understand."
"so how did you fix it?" it took adrien a while to gather his words, you stared at his face full of thought, and began to wonder what kind of secrets the model student had underlying his nonchalant attitude. "you can't find the solutions to your problems through other people. it's something you need to realize and fix within yourself. do you... really have to talk to him y/n?" he asked, face full of hope that you would say no.
"yes adrien, i need too." you heard him let out a long sigh.
"i can help you then."
