Y/n had never sat exams, but she never expected them to be so hard, most of it was just her being scared that Voldemort was going to burst through the doors and murder Harry and then her because she was a blood traitor. Not to mention it was boiling in the large classroom they did the exams in. The practical exams were definitely Y/n's strong point, it was easier for her to perform magic and she was naturally good at it. She also had all that illegal practice but nobody knew about that.

She was worried that Snape was going to steal the stone any minute, she was also having nightmares about whatever they'd seen in the forest, it seriously freaked her out whatever it was she was glad it hadn't attacked them. Not that anyone really cared about her anyway.

"That was easier than I thought it would be." Hermione said as they walked out of the history of magic exam. She always liked to go through what was on the paper afterwards and Ron always said it made him feel sick so they headed to the black lake and sat down.

"No more studying." Ron said happily sitting down next to a tree. "Look more happy about it Harry we've got about a week before we find out how badly we did."

"My scar keeps hurting, this has never happened before. I just wish I knew what it meant." He exclaimed angrily rubbing is forehead.

"Go to Madam Pomfrey." Hermione suggested.

"I'm not sick, there's nothing wrong with me. I think it's some kind of warning or something." He said.

"What could it be warning you of though." Y/n asked.

"Come on relax you two, Snape's not going to steal the stone he nearly had his leg bitten off last time." Ron said.

"I just have this feeling there's something I'm forgetting." Harry said.

"That's just exams, I woke up last night and was going through Transfiguration notes before Y/n reminded me we'd already done that." Hermione said. "What's up Y/n?" She could tell the girl was in deep thought.

"Oh my god." She whispered before she stood up and began making her way towards Hagrid's.

"What, what is it?" Hermione said.

"I've just thought of something. We need to talk to Hagrid." She responded.

"Oh my god Y/n you're right." Harry said realising what he'd been missing this whole time. Hermione and Ron both gave confused looks.

"Don't you think it's a bit odd that all Hagrid has ever wanted is a dragon and some stranger at a bar shows up with one." Y/n elaborated for them. As they arrived they saw Hagrid watering some of the plants outside his hut.

"Hello finished your exams have you?" Hagrid said cheerily.

"Yes, we have some questions to ask you. The night you got Norbert what did the person who gave you the egg look like?" Y/n said hastily.

"Don't know he never took their cloak off."

"What did you talk about with him, did you bring up Hogwarts?" Harry asked.

"Yeah, he asked what I did, and I told him I was gamekeeper here. He asked a bit about the sort of creatures I took after so I told him and I said what I'd always really wanted was a dragon. Let's see, yeah, then he said he had the dragon egg an' we could play cards fer it if I wanted but he had to be sure I could handle it, he didn't want it to go to any old home. So I told him, after Fluffy, a dragon would be easy."

"And was he interested in Fluffy Hagrid?" Y/n asked.

"Well yeah, how many times in your life are you going to come across a three headed dog. I told him Fluffy's easy to take care of, when you need to calm him just play him a bit of music and he'll fall right asleep." He looked horrified by what he'd said. "I didn't say that, forget I said that." But it was too late the four of them shared a look and ran back to the entrance hall of the castle.
