"Y/n are you sure you're okay?" Hermione asked as they entered their dormitory after their boggart lesson.

"I'm fine. If it had of yelled at me it might've been different." Y/n assured the girl.

"Once you've put your bag away do you want to go do homework down in the common room."

"Yeah, just let me reorganise the bathroom cupboard, it's a mess." She responded walking into the bathroom. She shut the door and looked in the mirror, her eyes were glowing amber. And her fingertips were also emitting an amber glow. She felt her heart start racing as she wondered what the heck was happening to her. "What the hell." She muttered to herself. She felt an unmanageable amount of energy building up in her body. She felt her breathe hitch as she felt a crazy amount of pain in her temples. She felt her knees go weak and she collapsed to the floor.

"Are you okay in there Y/n?"

"Yeah, I just slipped. You go I'll be down in a minute." She managed to say without her voice shaking. She pulled her knees to her chest and put her hands over her ears as they began ringing. She noticed the glow on her fingertips get brighter and spread further up her hands. Suddenly her hand had a ball of fire in it. She shook her hand as an attempt to make it go away. It didn't work, in fact the fire flew out of her hand and onto the a towel one of the girls had left hanging the rail. "Aguamenti." She said quickly, it didn't work. She pulled out her wand as the fire began to spread. "Aguamenti." She said again. "What the heck." She muttered. She attempted to stand up but ultimately had to crawl over to the shower and turn it on. "Surely it won't burn me." She muttered before picking up the burning towel and holding it under the water. "Reparo." She said as she hung the towel back up. The spell worked, so why couldn't she summon water. After a few minutes she regained the strength to stand up. The pain in her head having caused her to be extremely dizzy. She walked out of the bathroom grabbed some parchment and headed to the common room seeing her three friends already sitting down immersed in conversation.

"What took so long Y/n?" Hermione asked.

"It was more disorganised in there then I thought." She responded trying to hide the shakiness in her voice as she sat down next to Harry.

"Are you okay Y/n, you look really pale. What's this on your hand." Harry said pointing out the burn mark the ball of fire must've left when it formed.

"Oh that's just, I spilled a candle earlier." She lied. Harry gave a sceptical look but dropped the subject.

"Well, I've finished my homework for Lupin now. So I'm off to bed, coming Harry." Ron said.

'Did I really take that long?' Y/n thought.

"I still have to do the thing for Divination." Harry said.

"What thi-" Ron started.

"Well I'm going to go to bed as well. Y/n I assume you'll stay to do the homework for Lupin." Hermione said interrupting Ron. Then Harry and Y/n were left alone.

"So what actually kept you in your dormitory for so long? And what caused the burn on your hand?" Harry asked looking at the girl.

"I told you it was-"

"No, you lied Y/n, what was it." He said firmly.

"You can't tell anyone alright."

"I won't I promise."

"Not even Ron or Hermione."

"I won't."

"I went in the bathroom and I saw my eyes glowing like an amber colour, and my fingertips were too. Next thing I know my knees have buckled and I collapsed on the floor. There was a searing pain in my head, and then there was a ball of fire in my hand. I tried to get it to go away and lit a towel on fire. So then I tried to cast aguamenti without my wand and it didn't work. Also didn't work when I used my wand so, now this is the important bit. I turned the shower on and picked up the towel that was on fire and held it under. When I initially touched the fire it didn't burn me. It actually healed a cut I had on my thumb. And when I put my hand in the water, it left this burn mark." She explained.
