Going For The Head

You get on to Thors back as he takes off with the axe, soaring through the sky. The two of you spot Thanos and Thor quickly starts swinging his axe randomly as the two of you fly around in the sky.

"What the fuck are you doing?!" You ask in an angry whisper yell. "Thanos is down there! Go and fucking kill him!"
"I'm practicing. Give me a moment!"

"The universe doesn't have a moment. Now get us down there before i take your axe, shove it so up your ass it comes out your mouth and bring it down onto Thanos's skull myself!"

Theres a moment of silence before Thor eventually sighs.

"You didn't used to be so bitter."

"My fiancé didn't 'used' to be dead. Now GO!"

Thor glares down at Thanos angrily, building up the emotion and his eyes suddenly glow. Alarmed, you hold on to him a little tighter when he lifts his axe and shoots the two of you down quickly.

Thanos sees the two of you and didn't seem phased, lifting his gauntlet and shooting one of the biggest energy blasts you had ever seen. You brace yourself for it but it never comes, squinting to see Thors axe fighting it off effortlessly and implanting into Thanos's chest.

He lands and you jump off of him, brushing yourself off. You had to admit, there was something very satisfying with seeing an Axe in the titans chest. To see him bleed. It felt good. Everything he had taken from you came down to this.

"I told you. You die for that."

You let Thor have the moment as he sinks the axe further into the titans chest. You cross your arms and smirk, your eyes running down him before you look back briefly when you hear the faint sobs from Wanda.

She was knelt over Visions body, tears trickling down her cheeks. His body was grey.. his eyes were white. You see the hole punctured in his head. He didn't have the stone. He was dead.

Your eyes widen in realisation and you quickly turn back around, seeing the stone in Thanos's Gauntlet.

"Thor-!"

"What?!"

"Y-You..."

The two of you turn to Thanos quickly as he smiles a little and looks up at you.

"You should've gone for the head."

He raised his gauntlet, snapping his fingers before you could even move a muscle. You and Thor both scream but it was too late. The impact made you stumble back for a moment as your vision went white before you suddenly shook it off.

His entire arm was burn, right up to the side of his face. He seemed in pain, breathing heavily as he looks around. You were in shock.

"What.. did you do?" Thor asks quietly, though Thanos didn't respond. You knew what Thanos had just done. "WHAT DID YOU DO?!"

Thanos uses the space stone, disappearing without another thought. The sound of Stormbreaker falling to the ground rung through your ears. As if he had just taken the fall for the entire universe.

"Where'd he go?"

You hear caps voice and slowly turn to him. You felt your heart thumping in your chest as you slowly shook your head. Confused, Steve turns to Thor.

"Thor.. where'd he go?!"

"Steve.."

The three of you glance over at Bucky, his arm slowly turning to dust. Your eyes widen in horror as he was gone within less than five seconds. You felt the guilt slowly settling in.
