Melina strutted out of her room wearing a white long sleeve Pac man shirt and jeans. she also wore a puffy jacket and a beanie. she liked her hair longer now but not because of her mom. she just liked it like that. It was snowing outside and Melina smiled widely. Melina was turning 11 and she was having her birthday in the arcade.

"Melina, estas listo?" her uncle yelled.

"si tio!" she yelled back as she walked down the hallway ready to go. Robin was wearing a maroon hoodie and some jeans, as well as his matching jacket with Melina. they were both wearing army green hoodies that had their names embroidered in their sleeves.

"nice outfit babes" Isabella said.

(before you think this is weird, my auntie calls all her nieces and her own kids or anyone younger babe or babes so its just something I'm used to and it just seems natural. don't block my flow!)

Melina smiled and struck a pose. now that they had moved out of their moms house aka had been left there Isabella started dressing more comfortable. she was more of a tomboy. she was wearing some baggy jeans and a long sleeve black shirt under a short sleeve polka dot shirt with a leather jacket over it with a baseball cap put on backwards. Melina didn't understand the sudden switch up but she didn't question it. she had a sudden switch up a few times and Isabella never questioned her so why would she? they all loaded into the car one by one. Isabella sitting in the front seat considering she was now 13. Melina and robin played mercy in the back seat.

"MELINA, WE SAID NO PINCHING WITH NAILS" robin yelled from the backseat and angel shook his head.

"ey, calm down back there. ill turn around right now" their uncle said and they both sat there silently. But them being ten, that didn't last long before they were playing tennis now in the back seat. the clean clap of palms against the back of hands echoing through the car before angel turned on music, drowning out tweedledum and tweedledee in the backseat. they played for a good 10 minutes as they drove to the good arcade in the small town over. they lived on the outskirts on the town now that they moved to a bigger house to support the bigger family. when angel parked the two small kids jumped out as soon as they could and grabbed a few decoration but bolted to the arcade. Isabella laughed as they tried not to slip on the slowly forming ice and sludge. she grabbed a box as her uncle closed the trunk. they walked into the arcade to see Melina and robin running around already, the things they grabbed stationed next to the front desk. angel chuckled and rolled his eyes.

"ay, Chico fuerte!" angel yelled and it caught robins attention.

"si tio?" he said jogging over to them.

"puedes garar las cosas que tiro al piso?" angel said as he checked into the party room. robin nodded and grabbed them. they walked to the party room and put up the party room. Melina sat in a chair excitedly waiting for her guests to pour in. one thing she didn't like was this was the first year she didn't invite Vance. she had made three new friends. two of which were also robins. Bruce yamada, Finney blake, and Dustin henderson.

(can you guess what you guys might get soon?)

Finney was the first to show up.

"if your not early you're late" he said while shrugging and handing Melina her present before giving her a hug.

second was Bruce who showed up exactly on time, so the dot. it was slightly scary how perfect he was to everyone.

"what, normalize being on time!" he said and he lifted Melina off her feet when he hugged her. he was like a emotional support friend for her. he took the place that Vance left wide open. and he took it gladly. hed come over every Thursday and shed go sit in on his practices every Friday. they had a system that they knew would stick forever. she smiled as she dragged him to the seat next to her.

Dusting showed up 20 minutes late, which wasn't that bad. he busted in holding a present under his arm and huffing as if he ran a mile in three minutes.

"I'm sorry! I couldn't choose a present!" he yelled and Melina laughed while patting his back.

"you're okay dust." she said taking the present and showing him to the table. the five 10 year olds ran around the room and angel had enough before handing them their coin bag and sending them out into the arcade where they ran around for a while before coming back ready for cake. they all sang happy birthday and watched Dustin fail to push melena's head into the cake. the five had passed out in a corner later on that night  because of a sugar crash. that photo would live forever and they never knew it.
