AN: Hi all! I'm somewhat back into the writing. Like I said on my author's page, my entire outline for this book accidentally got deleted and all the writing I had done. So, we started from what I could remember and somewhat square one. Thank you for your patience and your support for this book! Enjoy this next chapter!

I wake up feeling the most peaceful I have felt in a long time. Let's face it, probably ever. (But given my childhood that's not surprising.)

So peaceful, that even though I know it's time to wake up because there's always things to do at the base, I want to snuggle up deeper into the warm body that I'm pulled up to. The arm draped over me calls for more sleep.

Arm.

Warm body.

And the events of yesterday hit me.

"Damn it." I try to sit up, straining against the band over my chest.

The man beside me starts to stir, pulling me closer in. "C'mon." He mumbles sleepily. "Let's go back to sleep."

Oh hell no.

I squirm more, pushing my hands at his arm. "Alexander." I say a little muffled into his side.

Goddess he smells good.

"Let me go." I push again a little harder, rolling my hips in order to get more momentum.

Which was where I went wrong.

At the same time that I tried to get him off of me, Alexander did what I wanted and got off of me. Which now somehow led to me staring over him from above, accidentally straddling him.

"This is one way to wake up." Alexander says with a cocky grin staring up at me. His hair is tousled, his blue eyes still blinking from sleep, he looks perfect.

Goddess I hate him.

All I can think about is getting off of him, even though his hands are now clamped down on my thighs. I can feel how muscular he is underneath me. My legs are situated over his stomach. Thank Goddess they're covered in pajama pants.

Panic fills my system as I stare into his warm blue eyes. I turn again, the same way I had rolled.

And fall right off the bed.

I hit the ground with a thud. A shot of pain goes up my elbow. Unfortunately, I think my pride is bruised more.

"Olivia, are you okay?" Alexander is at my side instantly.

"I'm fine." I mutter, gritting my teeth and pushing myself up. "Other than the fact that you broke my pillow wall and were on top of me all night."

His eyebrows raise. "It took you maybe five minutes of being asleep until you rolled right through that wall you built."

"No way that is true." I cross my arms still sitting down staring at him.

He chuckles beside me, still crouched down. "You were like a heat seeking missile."

A blush stains my cheeks, without my permission. I don't have a comeback for that

"Seems like the mate bond is stronger than a couple of throw pillows. " He says with a smirk.

He lifts up from his position beside me and offers a hand to help me up.

I, of course, ignore his open hand to me and instead push myself up on my own. "When do I get to speak to Victoria?" I ask, eager to change the subject.

"I don't even get an apology for accusing me of tearing down your precious wall?" He teases. His eyes flash a bit and the corners of his mouth lift up.
