Sweat of Sacrifice

In hope's warm glow, our hearts entwine,
Outstretched hands seek fate divine.
Grasping threads of a brighter morn,
Battling with fists, hope reborn.

In shadows where fears may sway,
Mom weeps, yet toils, a resilient display.
Hopeful heart, we dream ahead,
Facing fears, with grit, I've tread.

Across cruelty and demands of life,
A path so rough, exists a strife.
Through deepest depths, rise abrupt,
To surface's glow where triumphs erupt.

Each night I've mourned, a testament true,
To hardships made, strengthened and grew.
Yearning victory afar and life anew,
Gripping threads of ambition's avenue.

Sweat, the emblem for trials won,
Mourning marks sacrifices done.
Blossoming dreams, with hands unfurl,
Aspirations, hopes, they beautifully twirl.

Each bead of sweat marks progress made,
Stepping stones, opportunities cascade.
Life's journey, a test of strength,
A fighter's spirit, conquering at length.

Author's Note:

This was one of the three poems that I submitted for the poetry writing contest during the school's English Festival. I was supposed to submit a poem about awareness on depression, however, my teacher did not want my poem to be d³press¹ng, so she told me to write something about optimism and hard work instead.

So I wrote this.

This genre is not my forte, but writers explore to express, don't they?

I hope you like this poem. If you do, please vote and share.
