I was never alone in nine months of darkness,
You were there, mom, to nurture and love me.
When times got tough and everything was hopeless,
You persisted, faught, as if all things were easy. The toughest of all, the light of our home,
Even from far away, your brighteness shines,
Guiding us our path so we are not left behind,
You taught us words and wrote the signs. While everyone else had turned their backs on me,
You tapped mine and peppered me with love.
Oh mother, my source of inspiration and glee,
A crowned woman of toughness and bravery. When dad wasn't around, you aided the home's broken parts,
You fixed the furnitures and healed our wounded hearts.
With a warmth of care so gently beaming a smile,
You'd come for your child from a thousand mile. There will come a day that all our fears escape,
Your hair will turn gray and you'd be lying all day.
Might even forget our names, or if you even had kids,
But I'll be there, mom; You raised me wearing a cape.A/N:
