Standing on the edge of a abandoned building was a young man, his expression almost solemn, as if he's satisfying a craving, a part of him that perhaps yearned for this very moment to come, yet it seemed the mans hands told a different story, shaking without a end in sight; even upon clutching it tightly the fear did not stop.

"Is it that time yet again?"

From behind him a voice echoed out, a mocking tone to back up their smile, yet everything else about the person seemed blurry, like they're not supposed to be here or perhaps... they are not real.

Slowly turning his head around the young mans slight smile dropped in a instant, while his mouth may have opened, muttering words that would eventually go on deaf ears, the other person just grinned widely.

"Or perhaps, we'll give it another shot?"

To add insult to injury they stretched out their hand in a finger gun motion, before doing a shooting motion at the young man, their tone that previously had been mocking now sounded more bored than anything, their right arm wrapped around what could be seen as a bucket filled with popcorn, sitting down on nothing they leaned back and motioned for the man to do what he wants.

With their left hand they reached into the bucket, grabbing onto nothing but air, yet they pretended as if they'd been eating something, somehow; it caused the same noise the quiet crunching of popcorn would make, unlike what you'd hear in cartoons or other shows.

After taking a deep breath the man looked down the edge, cars, people, animals all passed by without a care in the world, no one would remember him, thus meaning he'd just be another lost soul, grieven upon by those that seek attention perhaps...

"Is this truly how I want to go?"

The mans silent voice did not go unnoticed, his previously tightly clutched hand stopped, instead it let go, not wanting to restrain itself any further, now free; his individual fingers shook at a rapid pace, thoughts began racing throughout his mind, thinking about just what he wanted.

"To go like this... only to be used by someone for their own benefit..."

That thought alone disgusted him, to the point he took a step back with gritted teeth, behind them the person sat with bated breath, dropping the imaginary bucket of popcorn before standing up, covering their mouth with the hands they did not deserve.

"Truly it's a miracle that you're still here!"

They jokingly said, upon turning around yet again the young man stared at them, unsure of what to say at first, before his hand slowly raised up, inviting them to take it, only for it to drop a second later, taking back the invitation previously offered.

"Ah, what a gift it must be to live joyfully; to smile without reason!"

Amused, their voice shifted back to the mocking tone previously used, their hands slowly lowered revealing a wide grin, clearly enjoying every moment of this "show" they've put on together.

"Perhaps you wish to get rid of me; yet I'm a part of you, truly; it's ironic my dear!"

It only took a singular step for them to stand right before the young man, their hands grabbed his as they partook in a dance, clearly forced the mans expression seemed annoyed; if not disgusted yet again even.

"From others you may be able to hide with that mask of yours, but those who've seen your face will never forget it, for they know what lurks behind the facade."

With a grin they leaned closer, no eyes to be seen anywhere, wanting to take control of his life once more, the young man pushes them away, causing the persons grin to drop in a instant, instead they seemed disappointed; saddened.
