Rahima's (Mah) words poured out in a heartfelt monologue: "Don't beat yourself up about it, don't you think it all happened for a reason? I was so lonely back then, my world was crumbling, I just wanted a daughter, and God used you to bless me with a child... (Sniffs) You have no idea what a blessing Afeeyah had been in my life. The moment I laid my eyes on your beautiful girl, no...
my beautiful girl! I knew that there's nothing in the world that would separate me from Afeeyah, and right there I felt as if everything I have ever prayed for was lying right in front of my eyes. Afeeyah came into my life, and she had a great impact; she made me the woman I am today. And I know it might feel like I'm blabbing nonsense, but I'm saying everything from the depth of my heart. You might be the birth parent of Afeeyah, but nothing separates me from her. I feel her as my own blood, and I take her as my daughter, and nothing is ever going to change that." She spoke in one breath, fighting to hold back tears.

Rahima's plea was heartfelt, her words tumbling out between sobs: "Please don't take Afeeyah away from me, and I'd owe my life to you. You have no idea how I love and cherish Afeeyah."

Alhaji Kabir stood frozen, his eyes brimming with tears. He was torn, unable to make a decision that would affect the lives of those he cared about. He glanced at Fatima, who lay in bed, her expression unreadable. Her eyes met his, and he sensed a mix of emotions beneath her stoic facade.

The air was thick with tension, as Abi struggled to reconcile the conflicting emotions in the room.
Hajiya Fatima adjusted herself and sat up, her voice firm as she said, "I don't think we can do you the favor you are seeking." Afeeyah entered the room, dressed in a beige t-shirt, white palazzo, and a scarf casually draped over her shoulder, her silky hair flowing freely. The resemblance to Kaltoom was striking, and the room fell silent for a moment.

Before anyone could react, Khairiyya, Afdal, and Adyan entered together. Ammi's emotions poured out as she said, "You don't have a choice, Afeeyah. We are your real parents, and you just have to come be with us."

Afdals mom broke down into tears once again, and Afdal and Afeeyah rushed to support her, gently guiding her to a seat.

Her tearful plea hung in the air: "Afdal, please tell them to let Afeeyah stay with us. We are her family, and she's all we have." Ammi's composure crumbled, and she slumped back, tears cascading down her face.

Alhaji Kabir's voice was firm but sorrowful as he finally spoke up: "I'm sorry, but Afeeyah would have to come back to her family. You've done so much for her, and we cannot repay you, but she must come back and be with us."

Afdal's response was unexpected: "She won't." The room fell silent, with all eyes on him.

Ammi's voice was laced with curiosity and a hint of challenge: "What makes you think that?"

Afdal's reply was confident and shocking: "Because I'll be marrying Afeeyah, and I'll bring her back to my mom not just as a daughter-in-law but as a daughter."

The room erupted into stunned silence, as if an invisible bomb had just blown everything apart.

The room was electrified with shock. Khairiyya stumbled backward, her eyes welling up with tears, but Adyan's swift reflexes caught her. Her breathing was ragged, her heart racing wildly as if her body had betrayed her.

Mah's voice trembled as she tried to reason with Afdal: "Afdal... Do you even understand what you're saying? Afeeyah is your baby sister..."

Afdal's response was cut off mid-sentence by the sound of a slap landing on his left cheek. The room fell silent once more, the aftermath of the slap hanging heavy in the air.

Afdal's eyes locked onto Khairiyya's, his face a mask of shock and hurt. "You are joking, right?" Khairiyya's sobs broke the silence, and everyone's gaze snapped back to reality.

Her eyes, red and brimming with tears, met Afdal's, but he couldn't withstand her gaze. With a swift turn, he exited the hospital room, leaving behind a trail of stunned faces.

Afeeyah stood frozen, overwhelmed by the emotional turmoil unfolding around her. The revelation and its aftermath had left her reeling, struggling to process the complexity of her feelings.

As they exited the hospital,Abi supported his wife, helping her veil properly and holding her hands for stability. Aishatu followed closely behind, carrying Fatima's hospital bag.

Two days had passed since the hospital incident. Afeeyah had been discharged and was now at the Salman's residence with her Mah. However, the atmosphere was tense. Afeeyah hadn't spoken to Afdal since his shocking declaration, and their mother wasn't talking to him either.

Despite the silence and disapproval, Afdal remained resolute. He knew that ultimately, his family would have to accept his decision regarding Afeeyah, it's not like the left willingly.
Kaltoom's initial excitement about having a twin sister had given way to confusion and uncertainty. The news of Afdal's shocking declaration at the hospital had spread, and everyone was affected.

Khairiyya, in particular, was struggling to cope. She had become withdrawn and quiet, losing her appetite. Afdal's repeated calls went unanswered, as she knew he would only apologize without changing his mind. The realization left her feeling heartbroken and defeated.

The wedding preparations had come to a grinding halt, with no one in the mood to proceed. The couple's families were preoccupied with the emotional turmoil, and Fatima's deteriorating health was the biggest concern.

Alhaji Kabir was beside himself, watching his wife's condition worsen by the day. Determined to save her, he decided to take drastic measures. He was willing to fight the world for Fatima's sake, even if it meant putting Kaltoom's marriage proposal on the line. The thought of losing his wife was unbearable, and he knew he had to act. Sacrifices would have to be made, and Kaltoom's happiness might have to take a backseat if that's what it takes.
