The warm atmosphere at the Abdullah's mansion was palpable. Mrs. Abdullah's loving, chatty demeanor set the tone for a delightful afternoon. It was instantly clear where Amani got her carefree energy her mom's laughter was infectious, her warmth magnetic. She had that undeniable "Rich Aunty Vibe," the kind that made you feel like you'd just been adopted into an exclusive club. The girls lounged together after lunch, sinking into the comfort of her hospitality, feeling like they belonged.
Mrs. Abdullah was a breath of fresh air, and they all adored her for it.
"So, where's Prince Charming?" Amani asked suddenly, wiggling her eyebrows like she was in on some inside joke.
Kaltoom blinked, confused at first, before realizing what Amani was hinting at. Her face shifted to amusement. "Who are you talking about, Amani?" she asked, curiosity piqued. Laila's head snapped toward them, eyes sparkling with interest. Gossip was in the air.
Amani's mischievous grin stretched wider, like she had a secret she was dying to spill.
Kaltoom didn't give her the chance. She snatched up a pillow and hurled it in Amani's direction. Amani ducked with a squeal, narrowly escaping the fluffy missile. "What? I'm just trying to get the tea!" she protested between giggles.
Kaltoom sat there with mock indignation plastered across her face while Laila looked on, entertained. "There's no tea to spill, Amani," Kaltoom said, trying to stay composed. But Amani's smug look said otherwise.
"I'm talking about Adyan, mana," Amani finally revealed.
Kaltoom rolled her eyes, laughter bubbling out despite herself. "Amani, stop it! We're literally just friends. And even if we weren't, I doubt Adyan would be interested." She tried to sound firm, but the redness creeping up her cheeks gave her away.
Amani wasn't buying it. "I'm telling you, Kaltoom you two would be perfect. If you won't make it happen, I will." Her tone had that dramatic, matchmaker sparkle.
