As Abee walked into the living room, his voice boomed warmly,
"Assalamualaikum!!!"

The familiar sound lifted the room's mood instantly. Kaltoom, her mom, and Khalid looked up, smiles tugging at their faces. From the kitchen, Farouk emerged with a water bottle in hand, grinning when he saw his father.

The past few days had been heavy, filled with worry and exhaustion but Abee's cheerful tone brought a flicker of relief, like sunshine breaking through clouds.

"Waalaikumus salam, Abee!" everyone chorused.

Ammi's eyes met his, still shadowed by fatigue and concern. Abee walked over, gently taking her hand and helping her up.

"Alright," he said, his grin mischievous, "who can guess what?"

He scanned the room like a game show host, enjoying the suspense.

Farouk raised an eyebrow. "You're finally retiring?"

Abee gave him a mock glare. "Absolutely not."

Kaltoom leaned back, teasing. "You brought takeout?"

Abee scoffed dramatically. "Never! And for the record, I'd never do that."

Kaltoom mouthed, "Of course," making everyone chuckle.

Ammi sighed, rubbing her temples. "Abee, are you really in the mood for games? Because I'm not. I just want to rest."

Khalid stepped in to support her, worry creasing his brow.
