A/n: Sunkissed - kai dreams
That's all I shall say
Also I'm working on the rewrite and I'm very happy with it so far (I think I've improved as a story teller) but I have a question!!!!
How attached to the backstory are you guys? Any family members you like in particular and want to keep? Aika and Daichi will remain, but I'm considering changing the backstory to give Y/n some more individuality aside from "my family was all killed." I'm not sure what I'm gonna go with, but I want an opinion!
Would you like to see more family members? Do you really want to have siblings still? Give me your thoughts!!!
I'm also super duper open to things like who your fav is that you'd hate to see go! Or what relationships you like; for example, do you like how Zenitsu and Y/n interact? Do you have any thoughts or ideas that you think would fit?
This is a chance for you to get a huge input into the story!!!! I'd really love to hear anything and everything, good and bad. Give me your wildest ideas!!!!!
Okay, enjoy this chapter :)
After about a week, I was getting into a routine and building my muscles back up. The leg that had gotten messed up would forever have some weakness compared to my other, but it was healed, and I could walk. Some of the lighter scars had lightened into non-existence, but there were still sizable ones on my arms and the leg I'd broken. My stomach had also seen the worst of the damage, with a surgery scar at the entry and exit wound of the brother demon's sickle and the scar that had gone down the middle of my chest and nicked my cheek.
I was also surprised to find that when I looked in the mirror, a strip of hair close to my face was starting to grow white, as opposed to its usual color. About an inch thick and starting at the root, but two months had given it time to grow a decent amount. Out of everything, I felt my appearance had changed the most as of late.
According to Tanjiro, Inosuke and Zenitsu were both out on missions already. Zenitsu had the least amount of injuries and was able to return to work rather swiftly, but Inosuke started only a bit after Tanjiro woke up.
Speaking of Tanjiro, I suddenly found myself to have two shadows.
If I was having tea, he was too - or at the very least, training in the yard where I could watch him. He'd taken up on reading when I was asleep but had now opted to write letters while I read. I'd entirely forgotten about the journal I used to keep with the busyness of being a demon slayer, but I did take the time to send Daichi a letter. He was glad to know I was okay despite having died before. Apparently, he'd read something about it in Aika's old journals and promised to find and send them to me.
Tanjiro would meditate on the roof with me and accompany me on short walks I'd begun. I was eager to start my stamina training to regain my previous physique, but it was too early for that, so this was the best I could do. Tanjiro would also go strangely quiet when it was just the two of us, as it so often was.
