A/n; here we go everyone, buckle up. I've been planning this section of the book since I first started writing it:))))

If you like My Hero Academia, I just published chapter 0 of my new fic Wildflowers, a Todoroki x Reader. I've worked on it probably longer than this book, just constantly changing it, but I'm finally satisfied with my writing to publish it. Feel free to check it out if you like this one :)

Daichi had told me about the Entertainment District before. He'd travel through it occasionally for missions, but he also said he had a friend that worked within it and he would visit them. He'd never quite told me it was like this.

We sat in a cart now that had taken us directly to our destination. I could tell we were getting closer when the auras began to appear and with it, a headache in the front of my skull. Most of the trip for me was spent taking deep breaths and suppressing the auras as much as I could - something I'd been practicing but was trying to learn how to suppress without getting rid of them. It was easiest when I put more focus on certain ones - in this case, my friends - and allowed the others to become background noise.

But still, even with Tanjiro's aura ablaze in front of me, there was nothing covering up the pure air of lust and desire that covered the area. Like a fog that invaded all of my senses. And I just knew that if I could sense it with my eyes, there wasn't a doubt in my mind that Tanjiro could smell it. At least, perhaps I wouldn't have to explain this place as in-depth anymore. And I was right, we when we came closer, his aura took a hue of light pink and embarrassment, only meeting my gaze in fleeting glances.

We arrived in the bustling night, red lamps lining the streets as men and women wandered past. Some reeked of alcohol and others fanned themselves with delicate and intricate outfits. Some of the most stunning ladies were the definition of beauty with perfect makeup and hair. They gazed down at us with delicate smiles as men tripped over themselves on the ground below. Within the rest of the world, men tended to be on top. Head of households and dominating figures. But here, it was the women who were treated like masters. The men were at they're mercy, as they required money for their services.

I'd never been one for either way of thinking. Personally, I was constantly seeking equality within all relationships I formed. But I couldn't help but admire them in some ways, standing up there all calm and collected while others paid large sums just for the chance to chat with them. What an interesting life they must be living.

The boys accompanying me seemed just as intrigued and I watched Tanjiro swivel his head around to try and take everything in. Inosuke and I had sat in the back seat while Zenitsu and Tanjiro took the bench in front of us. I wouldn't be surprised if it was all our first time in this place.

"Listen, you four," Tengen Uzui, Hashira of the Demon Slayers, began to instruct us, "Don't do anything that'll make you stand out. Remember that we're only here to case the joint. Whatever you do, don't get out of that carriage."

As expected, the first thing the boys began to do was get out of the carriage. Zenitsu was first, though he had practically been drooling down the side of the cart so it wasn't a surprise when he launched himself from the seat like a wild animal. Ironic, seeing as I was sitting next to a guy wearing a boar head. But then again, Inosuke was standing in his seat to get a better view of everything and it was hardly a second later when he too was hopping from the carriage.

Tanjiro called after them anxiously, and just as we were told not to do, hopped from the carriage as well.

That must be a new record for how fast we can go completely off the rails. I was now sat in the moving carriage all by my lonesome. Funny, how they were so insistent on joining me and yet now I was all alone. What a strange turn of events.
