"I'll meet you at home, I need some time to think", I said to Leah as we all piled off the bus. Thankfully no reporters were waiting for us.
"Are you sure?", she asked as I nodded, "okay, how about I pick up some food on the way home?"
"Yeah, that'll be great", I said with a small smile as I made my way to the car park and got in my car. I took a deep breath in and out before starting the car and driving home. The 20 minute car ride gave me time to think about everything, wanting nothing more for this to be over. I pulled out the card of the detective I called and dialled her number.
"This is Jess Miller"
"H-hi, it's Olivia De La Cruz, I spoke to you a couple months ago"
"Olivia, of course, is everything okay?"
"You seen the news right?"
"I did"
"That was him, he's here, please you have to believe me, there's no way he's not here-"
"Olivia, breathe, where are you?"
"I'm heading to my house"
"What's the address?", she asked as I gave her it and she typed into a computer.
"Look, I'll send a car to sit outside your house for protection, they should be there within the hour", she said and it made me feel a little better that they would be there tonight.
"Okay, thank you", I mumbled.
"If you have any other problems, give me a call okay?", she said softly as I thanked her and ended the call. I pulled up to the house and got a message from Leah telling me she would be there in 15 minutes. I got out of the car, closing the door and locking the car before a voice stopped me in my tracks.
"Liv", my mum said as she got out of her car and walked towards me.
"Stay the hell away from me", I said taking a step back and holding my hands out.
"Please-"
"No! You abandoned me, you left me with him when you knew what he was doing to me, how could you do that?!", I seethed angrily as she looked down. "He's a monster, and you left"
"That's no way to speak about your dad, Livvy", I heard his deep voice as I turned around quickly and took a step back.
"Don't fucking call me that", I sneered as he laughed.
"Liv, get behind me", my mum said as she moved my stiff body behind her.
"Where's your girlfriend, Livvy, I thought she would be here by now?", he said looking at me as I squinted at him. I checked the time on my phone and it had been almost 20 minutes since she text me and she wasn't here.
"Where the fuck is she?", I said angrily as I clenched my fists together and walked towards him.
"Liv, don't!", my mum tried calling me but he got a hold of me and slammed me against the car.
"She's fine, you know she's not my type", he said as he wrapped his hand around my throat and a car pulled up beside us.
"Liv?", Amanda said as she stood beside my mum and watched on in shock.
"Amanda? What are you doing here? You need to go-", I was cut off by my father increasing the pressure on my neck slightly.
"Leah's car got a flat, Katie is driving her the rest of the way and her phone was about to die so she sent me to check on you", she said looking between the 3 of us.
"Amanda please, you need to go"
"That won't be necessary, we'll be leaving, won't we Livvy?"
"Fuck you", I spat as I shoved him off of me before he swiftly landed a punch to my face sending me to the ground.
"Don't touch her-"
"Amanda don't", I begged her, not wanting her to get involved.
"No, please, continue", he said as he took a few steps towards her making me shoot up and stand in front of him.
"Wait, please!", I shouted as he growled at me.
"Move", he gritted.
"Luis, stop this", my mum said as he scoffed and laughed.
"And why do you care? You abandoned her"
"Don't make me out to be the bad guy here, everyone knows what you did", she said but he just ignored her and turned back to Amanda.
"No! You don't want her, you want me right? Don't hurt her, I'll go with you, just-just don't hurt her", I pleaded with tears in my eyes as he smirked at me, before I could do anything else, he was quick to inject my neck with something as I started to become dizzy.
"Unless you want me to kill her, I'd advise you to not make any moves and let me take her", his muffled voice said as I felt myself being dragged towards a car. I was still very much awake, but everything was blurry. Once we reached his car, he was about to put me in the backseat until my blurry vision managed to make out a car pulling up followed by multiple different cars with red and blue flashing lights.
I felt him wrap his arm around my neck and heard muffled shouts coming from the police officers.
"Let the girl go! It's over Luis!"
Everything that happened from then was a blur, I felt him release his arm from my neck as I started to slip in and out of consciousness.
"We need a medic over here!"
"You're okay, Olivia, you're safe now"
I felt myself being lifted onto a stretcher, my eyes heavy as an oxygen mask was placed on my face and I was lifted into the back of an ambulance. I felt someone grab my hand but my eyes were too heavy to open and I felt myself lose consciousness.
