Chapter 7.

"Layla!"

"Layla!"

"Wake up!!"

I groaned as I turned over in my bed, pulling the covers over me.
"We're going to miss breakfast!" Rae started shaking my body.

"Rae, I mean this in the nicest way possible.. fuck off", she slapped my arm through my blanket.
"Layla Doyle I swear to Merlin don't say I didn't try get you up", she laughed and I heard footsteps stepping away from me, "We have charms at 10, I'll save you a seat." She spoke before closing the door on her way out.

I groaned again but fell back asleep.

To which I shouldn't have, because it was 9:50 according to the serpents on the wall.
"Fuck", I whipped the blanket off me and ran into the bathroom, splashing cold water on my face to try wake me up.
I looked into the mirror at my reflection, my hair was like a birds next, strands sticking out everywhere. I was still in the clothes from last night... last night! My eyes widened at remembering last night. But quickly shoved the thought aside as I picked up my hair brush and roughly tried sorting the mess out. I eventually got it tamed and just left it hanging down, no time to do anything special with it.

I ran out the bathroom and started grabbing my uniform from my drawers, quickly getting myself dressed. Grabbing my cloak, having no time to put it on and ran to charms.

10:02, I sighed a relief as I sat beside Rae, out of breath. "Did you fall back asleep?" She whispered towards me, "Maybe.. but I'm hear now", raising my eyebrows giving her a cheeky grin
"Were you out late last night?"
"No no I fell asleep in the commons room and woke up and went to bed at like 4:30", I stumbled my words, as she gave me a confused look.
"Anyways, how are you fresh as a daisy? You were a mess last night", I laughed nudging her. "I even got Blaise to take you to bed", I wiggled my brows.
"Blaise?", she questioned, "yeah I was too comfortable on the sofa so I asked him.. is that okay?" I gave her a worried look, "No yeah that was fine, I just woke up to a glass of water and a vial next to my bed, he must have put them there last night." Her cheeks went red. I laughed and shook my head, waiting for charms to start.

"Yeno..", I heard her whisper beside me, I leaned towards her insinuating to go on, "Draco was asking for you at breakfast", I looked at her as she had a big grin on her face, "what did he say!", I rushed out, getting giddy.
"Just asking where you were and if you were okay, that's all really"

"I see", I whispered, leaning back in my seat, as Flitwick started class.

"We have a free period until Defence Against the Dark Arts starts at 1, want to go to the library?" Rae asked as we walked out of charms.
"Yeah sure", I shrugged as she lead the way.

As I entered the doors it felt like endless amount of rows of books, beside the right row of books, old sofas and chairs against the wall with tables in the middle, with other chairs infront, creating small areas for students to gather, the very same down the far back of the room, Rae almost skipping to the very right corner to which our luck, was empty, she jumped onto the sofa, sprawling her body across it leaving me to sit on the armchair opposite her. I gave her a giggle.
"Are you not studying?", I questioned, "Merlin no", she scoffed, sitting up, leaning across the table.
"Then why are we here", I questioned, leaning towards her. "Have you somewhere better to be?", she rolled her eyes, which made me silent, "I thought so", she laughed, looking around. Her eyes fell onto something behind me.

"Don't come here...", she started, looking at whatever was behind me. A sigh of relief left her, "what was it?" I now have my elbow on the table, my hand resting on my hand, looking at her.
"Pansy and the three stooges just entered", she gave a giggle, I slowly looked back, not making it obvious I was staring.
By the 3 stooges she meant Crabbe, Goyle and.. Draco. The four on them sat in the four armchairs surrounding a little coffee table the other end of the room. Draco was only wearing a shirt and his slacks, with his tie hanging from around his neck, not neat at all. His hair was slicked back making him look really handsome.

"Layla!", Rae nudged my elbow, I shot her a look, "you're staring..", she went on laughing, I looked back at her shifting my body back into the table.
"Can I ask you something?", I asked Rae, "Anything!", she chirped, giving all her attention to me.
I felt my cheeks go pink, "what's the deal with Draco?" I simply asked, "what do you mean?", she raised a brow, "I mean like.. is he a player? A man whore? How many girlfrie-", "girlfriends?!", she laughed, "Draco never had a girlfriend Lay.. Draco doesn't date", it felt like her words stabbed me in the chest.
"Doesn't date?", I whispered, a pain in my voice.
"You'll never see Draco with a girl, except for Pansy but she doesn't count because they're always in a group", she went on.
"So he's never had anyone? Ever?"

"Oh he has," she nodded, "but it's all behind closed doors and the only way we find out is word of mouth, people love to talk", she shrugged her shoulders. I looked down fiddling with my fingers, a pain in my chest. I shouldn't be feeling this disappointed, I don't know him I had to remind myself.
"Why do you ask?", she questioned, "there's something about him...", I whispered, I felt tears coming at the frustration that I wasn't in Hogwarts a week and I was already taking a liking to Draco Malfoy. Rae noticed and grabbed my hands, "Hey Lay it's okay, I get he's hot and everything but he's still a Malfoy", she joked, I laughed, wiping my nose. "You can do so much better than him!" She rubbed my knuckles with her thumb.
"Just don't ever let him take you to the abandoned boys bathroom.." she laughed, leaning back, "or the astronomy tower", she finished letting out a sigh from the laughter.

Astronomy tower. Ouch. Had be planned all along when following me that I was going to be his next victim? I felt an anger inside me.

"Hey it's already 12:30, let's make our way to class and get a good seat", Rae got up, as I followed, we walked down between the two rows of books and I walked past the last row, before heading out the door, I glanced to my left, looking at the area Draco was sitting in, to which by no surprise, he was already looking at me. He gave a slight smirk my way but I kept the blank expression on my face. 'Fuck you Draco', I thought to myself, feeling a pain in my chest and my eyes starting to water. I looked away and followed Rae to class.

Just a small fill in chapter that's all!! What's going to happen now with Layla and Draco?!
Will he ever come out of his shell and change his ways?!

Also whatever vial Blaise left Rae was one to cure her hangover incase people were wondering!
