3 days. 3 days have passed since my body decided to wake up. Decided to bring itself back into reality. Decided to say hello to the world again after the curse caused me to shut down.

Not being used to light my eyes took mere minutes to adjust and open fully, the whiteness of the room made everything brighter. I looked down to see I was in a white gown, white sheets over my body, a white curtain held around my space, as I laid in a hospital bed.

I groaned, trying to sit up, my palms pushed into the mattress trying to push up my weak body. Not managing much I leaned back, a better view of everything. I looked around to see treats and flowers beside me, notes and cards on my locker, making me smile.

I looked to my left and saw the blonde, sitting on the visitor chair. His legs spread wide as his head was being kept up by his elbow. A purple hue held under his eyes, he hadn't slept, for Merlin knows how long. His blonde hair fell messy down his forehead, almost passed his eyes, I love his hair when it was long. His chest rose gently as he slept, his shirt getting tighter every time he breathed in.

I loved him. I really loved him. In both our troubled lives, we loved each other.

"Draco?" I whispered, the first word coming from my mouth in 3 days, my throat felt scratchy as I spoke, but I needed him, I needed to feel him.

"Draco?" I croaked out, whispering louder, making his eyes flare open, he looked around before his eyes met mine. And they softened, his eyes were full of relief but also concern and worry.

"Layla? You're awake! You're really awake." He rose to his feet quickly, sitting on the edge of my bed. He leaned closer and gently cupped my jaw with his hand, his ring stinging my face from the cold. "Are you okay? Do you need anything? Can I get you anything?" He spoke softly.

I nodded to him weakly as I smiled, "What? What is it? Tell me and I'll get it." He spoke softly.

"You." I whispered, he heard my small word and he softened, his body was less tense.

He rose to his feet before he gently moved in beside me, his hands on my waist and he moved my weak body to make room, he put his arm under my head, making my head fit perfectly in the crook between his shoulder and neck. I winced and groaned as he moved me.

"I'm sorry.. I don't mean-."

"It's fine, I'm fine.. I want this." I whispered as I nuzzled into him. His hand wrapped around my waist bringing me as close as possible, his grip firm around me, not wanting to let me go, our legs tangled together under the thin white sheet.

"You scared me to Death." He spoke against my head, as he placed a gentle kiss on my hair.

"You're not getting involved with anything Potter does again, do you understand?" He spoke more sternly. I nodded against his chest as he played with my hair.

"I'm not losing you to the shit he keeps doing." He muttered. "It's too dangerous."

"I'm sorry.." I spoke quietly into his chest, tears prickling my eyes.

"Don't apologise darling, it's alright, your safe now, you're okay." He hushed into my hair, as he gently stroked my hair.

Moments of silence passed he held me, as he stroked my hair, as he leaned his own head against mine.

"Draco?"

"Hm?" He hummed.

"What happened?" I spoke quitely into his chest. I felt his body tense as it wrapped around mine, his chest rising more against my head, his breathing became heavier and his hand stopped on my hair.
