"State your name and the purpose of your visit." The man demanded.

"Uhm... Komaeda Nagito. I'm a journalist who's, uhm... here to report on the- the murders that happened..? If... if that's okay with you..."

"Typical humans. So scared and unsure."

"I apologize, but... are you not a human?"

"No matter. What murders took place here?" The man asked.

"Those... those scientists, they got... killed. Quite brutally,"

"Tell me more."

Komaeda looked up at the man, still nervous. "Like I said... five scientists were found dead. It's obvious they were murdered and no one knows why yet. My, uhm- the commissioner invited me to report on this case and... I'm sorry, do you mind not... not staring at me like that?"

"Like what?" He asked as his dark pupils stabbed into Komaeda's soul.

"Ah... never mind." He smiled. "It's just a little... spooky, I suppose,"

"Spooky?" He asked and grabbed Komaeda's chin. "Do you think I'm spooky?"

Komaeda looked up at the man with wide eyes. His touch felt electrifying. "I... ah, no. That would be rude,"

"I do not care about manners. Insult me if you so please." He let go of Komaeda's chin. "Now then, I will take a look at the crime scene."

"What? No! You'll become a suspect immediately!"

"I did not harm anyone."

"But they'll think you did and then-! Wait, don't just go!" He grabbed the man's hand. In the blink of an eye, his hair came to life and wrapped around Komaeda's waist. He was lifted up into the air. "Wha-what?!" He yelped.

"Do not touch me." The man said, shooting him a death glare before letting him fall to the ground.

"Ow!" Komaeda cried out in pain.

"Do you need medical assistance? It was not my intention to hurt you."

Komaeda nodded slightly. "That really hurt my ankle... I think I twisted it or something,"

The man grabbed his ankle and pulled it up, making Komaeda stumble over again. He wrapped his hand around it and the pain quickly disappeared.

"Done. Now I will investigate the-"

"No! Look, I... there's one policeman I fully trust. I can go get him and we can talk this out,"

"Hurry."

Komaeda nodded and ran back to the crime scene. "Hinata-kun!" He called out. "Please come with me quick! Super quick!"

The commissioner nodded and they ran back to the place the man was. "Who the hell is that?" He asked.

"Manners, Hinata-kun,"

"Sorry. Who are you, Sir?"

"Kamukura Izuru."

The brunet furrowed his eyebrows. "...I see. Why are you here?"

"I live here. I was in my room until Komaeda woke me up. Kamukura laboratories created me."

"Kamukura laboratories?" Komaeda asked.

"That's the name of this place," Hinata said. "What do you mean 'created'?"

"They created me in this laboratory."

"Okay. Now can you please cut the bullshit?" Hinata asked.

"Hinata-kun!"

"Sorry. Tell me the truth,"

"I am an experiment. I was created in a lab. That is the full truth."

Komaeda got out the camera and handed it to the commissioner. "I found this. Maybe there's something on here,"

"Sir, I'm going to have to take you in for questioning. Please come with me,"

-

Komaeda sat on a chair in the police station, scribbling in his notebook. No one was going to believe him he reported on Kamukura. He wouldn't mention him in his article or on TV. Kamukura didn't need that attention on him.

In the interrogation room, Kamukura stared right into Hinata's eyes.

"Where were you on the night of the murder?"

"Where Komaeda found me, in the lab. I was asleep."

"Ha!" Hinata hit his fist on the table, grinning. "I didn't even tell you when they were killed! You can't have an alibi!"

"I do. I was asleep in the lab for the past six months."

"Sure you were. Do you mind undergoing tests to prove you really are not human?" He asked.

"I do not mind, no."

"Alright, cool. I'll get in touch with a nurse then, she'll check you out." He stood up and grabbed his phone to call her.

"Okay." Kamukura got up, punched a giant hole into the wall right next to the door and walked towards Komaeda. "He is getting a nurse to investigate my body."

"What? Why?"

"To make sure I am not human."

"But..." he stood up. "Kamukura-kun, are you sure you are fine with that?"

His eyebrows went up in surprise at the honorific. "I am."

"Right, okay. Look, nurses and doctors visits can be scary, but you're going to be fine. I was at the hospital many times before and they take good care of you-"

"I was put through inhumane amounts of excruciating pain due to experiments while I was awake. I can handle a shot or two."
