Hinata seemed to know exaclty what to do when Komaeda was sick. He placed the pale man on the couch, covered him with multiple blankets, turned on the heater and warmed up some leftover soup while Komaeda watched a movie.

For some unknown, completely irrational reason, Kamukura didn't quite like that. He would be able to take care of him much better than some policeman.

"Hinata-kun, sit down with me, please,"

"Are you sure? I don't want to overstep any boundaries, I mean, you broke up with me so-"

"Either you sit down or I will." Kamukura said.

The brunet shot him a glare and sat down. He put an arm around Komaeda's shoulder, purposely angering the dark-haired man.

"Don't get ahead of yourself now. You're still my ex,"

Hinata sighed. "Right. Sorry,"

"And also, I don't want you to get sick because of me,"

The brunet retracted his arm from Komaeda. Kamukura suppressed a smile. "Don't overstay your welcome, Hinata."

Komaeda rolled his eyes. "How old are you two again? Because right now you're acting like children. Hinata-kun can stay as long as I want him to, this is my apartment,"

Kamukura didn't know why he was upset anyway. It was quite unreasonable. He quietly left the room.

The pale man watched him leave. Did he make him sad? It was just meant to be a joke...

"How have you been feeling?" Hinata asked.

"I had a nightmare about being in the hospital. And my parents dying," He said. "So I haven't been feeling well,"

"Damn... Is there anything I can do to help you?"

"I don't even know... I'm a bit overwhelmed right now,"

Hinata paused the movie. "Do you wanna talk about it?"

"Mhm..."

"Alright. So what happened in your dream-? Oh wait, someone's calling me." He picked up the phone and sighed after a minute or so before hanging up. "I gotta go to work, I'm sorry,"

"It's fine..."

Hinata left quickly. Komaeda felt dissapointed. This was another one of the reasons he broke up with Hinata. He always put his career first.

Kamukura entered the room. "So he left just like that, huh?"

"Yes..."

"You can tell me about your dream if you so desire,"

"I don't think you'll understand. You never had parents or went to the hospital,"

"I will pretend to be empathetic then,"

"Ha ha. Thanks."

"It was not a joke,"

"Fine then. I had a dream that my parents were following me through a hospital, but they were rotting corpses and crawling instead of walking,"

"My gosh. I am so sorry that happened to you. May you recover soon." He said, bored.

"That was the worst fake empathy I've ever seen,"

"I tried, I promise. I just cannot seem to understand why parents are so important to children,"

"I'm not a child, but I'll answer anyway. Parents are so important to humans because from the day you are born, they provide for you, they love you and they protect you. Humans are created out of the love of two people. Parents love each other and their child more than anything. At least, all that counts when things are done right. Some parents don't love each other, some don't care about their children and some just die and abandon their little kid without anyone in this world to care about them!" Komaeda shouted the last part, getting emotional.

"You sure are stressed,"

"Ugh..."
