Liam
As Alice sleeps, Liam calls his mother. "Hi, mom," he says softly, "Alice is asleep, I don't want to wake her."
"Ah, so she's let you stay?" his mother replies.
"Yes, she sleeps better whenever I'm around."
"That's because of the mate bond. She might not feel it like you do, but it's still there. It'll grow stronger the closer you two become."
"I know. Is father still angry?"
"Yes, he'll get over it eventually though. You did tell him that you weren't going to do it. It's his own fault for not listening to you."
"I don't need that old man anyway. I have my own company now."
"Yes, you do. I'm sorry, he's so stubborn. I hope he comes around soon."
"His loss."
"I can't wait to meet Alice. How'd she react to being asked about meeting me?"
"She was surprised at first, then nervous."
"She seems like a nice girl."
"She is. She's self-employed. She paints for a living."
"She must be good if that's what she does for a living."
"She is, I've seen some of her paintings." He continues to discuss Alice with his mother until she wakes up again. "Uh, mom? I've got to go Alice is awake now."
"Alright, talk to you later."
"Later mom." He turns to Alice. "How'd you sleep?"
"Better than I have been," she answers, "I always sleep better when I'm with you. I don't know why."
"Come on, let's eat some breakfast."
"Okay."
They head downstairs and Alice begins to prepare breakfast for them. "Do you need help?"
"No, I've cooked my own meals for a while now." A several minutes later, she places eggs, bacon, pancakes, and toast on the table. "Do you want jam for your toast?"
"No thank you." He takes a bite of the food. "Woah! This is delicious!"
"O...oh, thank you."
They finish their breakfast and Alice stands up to do the dishes. "Sit back down. I'll do the dishes."
"But..."
"You cooked for us already, the least I could do is clean up."
"Erm...okay."
He unloads the dishwasher and carefully loads it up with dishes again. Once it's full, he starts it again. "See that wasn't too hard."
"Uh, thank you."
"You don't have to thank me for everything."
"S...sorry."
"Don't apologize."
"Erm, s...sor...I mean..."
"Go and get changed. Let's go to the mall today."
"O...okay."
She heads upstairs, where she changes out of her pajamas. "Liam? I'm ready." She comes downstairs with a red dress on. "You look gorgeous."
She blushes and takes his hand. They head up to his car. While he's focusing on driving, she looks out the window, watching the scenery pass by.
